Free agent RB Keilan Robinson worked out for the Chargers on Friday.
Robinson was joined by free agent RBs, Amar Johnson, Anthony Tyus and Owen Wright. The Chargers’ Week 1 running back depth is shaky at the moment, with Najee Harris’ (eye) availability still up in the air.
  • PHI Running Back #31
Eagles signed RB Keilan Robinson, formerly of the Jaguars, to a contract.
The Jaguars drafted Robinson in the fifth round last year. He logged six offensive snaps and 50 special teams snaps, touching the ball twice all year via a pair of kickoff returns. The Eagles now roster eight running backs and will likely cut half of them before Week 1 kicks off. The Eagles waived WR Ife Adeyi in a corresponding move.
  • JAC Running Back #31
Jaguars activated RB Keilan Robinson from injured reserve.
He had to be activated by tomorrow or miss the remainder of the season. Robinson, a fifth-round pick from Texas, will start behind Travis Etienne Jr., Tank Bigsby, and D’Ernest Johnson in the pecking order at running back and potentially will be a special-teams only player. He’s not a fantasy football roster candidate at this time.
  • JAC Running Back #31
Jaguars placed RB Keilan Robinson on injured reserve/designated to return.
The injury is undisclosed. The fifth-round rookie didn’t seem to pressure Tank Bigsby for No. 2 duties behind inefficient starter Travis Etienne. He will be first eligible to return in October.
  • JAC Running Back #4
Sports Illustrated’s John Shipley reports Tank Bigsby “didn’t have the standout offseason program that he had last year.”
More concerningly, Shipley reports Bigsby continued to struggle with drops. Coach Doug Pederson has talked up wanting to get Bigsby more involved as a second-year pro after his disappointing rookie campaign, but he’s off to a poor start. It’s extra bad news for the Jags since they passed on meaningful reinforcements in the draft or free agency. Travis Etienne continues to profile for massive work even though Jacksonville knows he ideally would be more of a 60 percent player from a snaps perspective. Fifth-rounder Keilan Robinson is a name to file away.
  • JAC Running Back
Jaguars selected Texas RB Keilan Robinson with the No. 169 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Robinson (5’8/191) spent the majority of his career stuck behind the likes of Bijan Robinson, Roschon Johnson, and Jonathon Brooks. As a result, he saw little opportunity for playing time and totaled just 156 touches for his career to go with 1,128 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns. Despite playing in 13 games last season, Robinson totaled just 190 yards on 20 touches and ranked fourth amongst Texas running backs in offensive snaps. The fact Robinson couldn’t crack the top of the depth chart despite five years of experience is concerning. To his credit, he was efficient on limited touches, forcing a missed tackle on 28.1 percent of his carries while also averaging a solid 9.5 YPR through the air. He’ll need to flash in the offseason, and will likely need to make an impact on special teams to crack the Jags’ 53-man roster.
  • NYJ Running Back #36
Texas redshirt sophomore RB Keilan Robinson rushed nine times for 111 yards and one touchdown in Saturday’s 31-23 loss to West Virginia.
Robinson (5'9/190) got the start in place of injured running back Bijan Robinson (dislocated elbow), and turned in a solid day for the Longhorns. He gave Texas its first touchdown of the day on a 49-yard touchdown run, but didn’t see nearly as many touches as you would expect for a player with that efficient of a rushing line. Robinson also caught one pass for 16-yards, and will look for a repeat performance in next weekend’s season finale against Kansas State on Friday.

Texas redshirt sophomore RB Keilan Robinson (COVID protocols) is set to play this Saturday against Kansas.
Robinson (5'9/190) cleared COVID-19 protocols and is set play on Saturday. The transfer from Alabama has not seen much playing this season, but with Bijan Robinson done for the remainder of the season with an elbow injury, it looks like he’ll get more playing time.

  • NYJ Running Back #36
Texas redshirt sophomore RB Keilan Robinson (COVID protocols) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Kansas.
Robinson (5'9/190) will miss at least one game due to health and safety protocols. The redshirt sophomore, who transferred to Texas from Alabama, has played sparingly in recent weeks as Bijan Robinson is the focal point of the Longhorn offense. Keilan has rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries this season, while also catching five passes for another 39 yards.

  • NYJ Running Back #36
Texas redshirt sophomore RB Keilan Robinson rushed for 83 yards on five carries and a touchdown in Saturday’s 58-0 win over Rice.
Robinson (5'9"/190) transferred over from Alabama to be with his former offensive coordinator now Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian. Robinson is not heavily involved in the offense, but with the Longhorns in firm control of this game, he got a little extra work. A big chunk of his yards came on handoff where the Texas line blocked perfectly, leaving a hole for Robinson to dart past the Rice secondary for the 65-yard touchdown. Texas will take on in-state rival Texas Tech next Saturday.
