Chargers signed QB DJ Uiagalelei, LS Peter Bowden, WR Dalevon Campbell, DL TeRah Edwards, WR Luke Grimm, WR JaQuae Jackson, RB Amar Johnson, LB Emany Johnson, C Josh Kaltenberger, TE Tanner McLachlan, OLB Garmon Randolph, OG Branson Taylor, CB Isas Waxter and TE Thomas Yassmin to reserve/futures contracts.
Uiagalelei was elevated to back up Trey Lance in Week 18, but ultimately did not play at all in Los Angeles’ exhibition to tank into the No. 7 seed. He had a 67.0 PFF grade in 69 offensive preseason snaps this past offseason and could eventually become Los Angeles’ backup quarterback.
  • LAC Wide Receiver
Kansas redshirt freshman WR Luke Grimm snagged four passes for 105 yards in Saturday’s 34-28 loss to West Virginia.
Prior to today, Grimm had gone over 50 yards receiving just once this season, and never over 75. But while Kwamie Lassiter was hogging targets and attentions across-the-way, Grimm was able to take advantage of a few single-coverage breakdowns to post his first-career 100-yard game (and his first game over 75 yards). He’s penciled into Lance Leipold’s Y2 starting lineup.

  • LAC Wide Receiver
Kansas freshman WR Luke Grimm caught four passes for 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 59-23 loss on Saturday to TCU.
Grimm is a three-star recruit who has seen his role expand as the season has progressed, and he has his first two touchdowns of the season. The 6-foot, 170-pound wideout has caught four passes in three straight games, and looks like a solid part of the rotation going forward. Unfortunately for Grimm, his two-score day -- one from 21-yards out, one from 14 -- wasn’t nearly enough in a blowout loss that puts Kansas at 0-8. He’ll try and help the Jayhawks get that elusive win next Saturday against Texas Tech.
