Arizona and BYU playing in Las Vegas in 2021, add two games in 2026-2027

For those that like to prepare well in advance, Arizona and BYU have a scheduling announcement just for you. Arizona and BYU jointly announced a new home-and-home series that will be played in 2026 and 2027. The two programs also announced a decision to move a future game that was previously scheduled to Las Vegas in 2021.

BYU will host Arizona on September 12, 2026. Arizona will host the Cougars the next season on September 11, 2027. A game that was previously scheduled to be played in the 2020 season in Provo will be moved to Las Vegas in 2021 instead. Arizona and BYU announced a three-game deal back in 2013. Those three games are scheduled for 2016 in Glendale, Arizona, 2018 in Tucson and the 2021 game in Las Vegas.

For BYU, scheduling games against power conference opponents is key to continuing as a football independent. With the ACC’s recent decision to recognize BYU as a power conference opponent, things look positive for the program moving forward. Maintaining a healthy relationship with Pac-12 and Big 12 schools is also vital for securing schedules in the future. BYU recently added a future series with Michigan State and has other future games scheduled against West Virginia, Michigan, LSU, Wisconsin, USC, Virginia, Stanford, Washington and more.
