A groin injury that kept starting right tackle D,J. Fluker out of Alabama’s win over Ole Miss could do the same this weekend against Tennessee.
Head coach Nick Saban said Monday that Fluker is “very questionable” for the Vols game due to the pulled groin. Alfred McCullough started in place of Fluker last Saturday, and will be expected to do the same this weekend if the redshirt freshman is unable to go.
The injury news is not all bad for the Tide, however.
Wide receiver Julio Jones, who sat out the second half of the win over the Rebels, is said to be fine and will not be limited in practice this week according to Saban. Jones underwent surgery early last week to repair a broken bone in his hand, and apparently had some stitch issues after catching a first-half pass.
