The first two receptions of Arkansas wide receiver Crosby Tuck‘s collegiate career covered 84 yards and went for touchdowns.Three receptions and one devastating elbow injury later, however, Tuck’s once-promising career has come to an end, the Northwest Arkansas Morning News is reporting.Even as he still has three years of eligibility remaining, Tuck simply couldn’t fully recover from the injury suffered early on his freshman year in a game against Kentucky in 2007."While I have made some progress since my injury, it has grown increasingly difficult to remain competitive at this level of college football,” Tuck said in a statement."I am appreciative to the physicians and the sports medicine staff for their work and support during my football career. While I will no longer play football, I am excited to remain at the University of Arkansas, pursue my degree and continue to be a part of the Razorback family."Tuck attempted a comeback last season, but was limited to one start and appeared in just three games total.Incidentally, because Tuck is leaving the football program due to injury, he will get a medical hardship scholarship that will not count against the NCAA’s scholarship limit of 85.
