Packers placed WR Savion Williams on injured reserve.
Williams, 24, was a non-factor for Green Bay in 2025 with 10 catches for 78 yards; although he did a solid job as a kick returner with 717 yards on his 28 attempts. The 2025 third-round pick has the athleticism to be a helper in 2026, but fantasy managers in redraft leagues shouldn’t count on it .

Packers WR Matthew Golden (wrist) is not on Green Bay’s final Week 16 injury report.
Despite his first useful fantasy game (3/55) in some time last week against Denver, we’d caution against starting Golden in Week 16 as Christian Watson seems likely to play. Savion Williams (foot) is also off the injury report.
  • GB Wide Receiver #11
Packers WR Jayden Reed (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Reed returned from foot and shoulder injuries to play in Week 14, getting four targets on the day. He saw a sizeable role, running over 60 percent of available routes; the Packers will limit his practice workload to start the week. Also limited were fellow wide receivers Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) and Savion Williams (foot). Wicks played through the ankle injury in Week 14 while Williams did not practice all of last week. Reed is still trending to play and is the best receiver out of the three, while Wicks is worth a speculative deep league dart throw and Williams is not fantasy relevant.

Packers WR Dontyavion Wicks (ankle) is not on Green Bay’s final Week 14 injury report.
We’d be surprised if he did anything close to what he did on Thanksgiving against the Bears, but perhaps the 24-year-old has turned over a new leaf with this offense. He’s still a FLEX play at best. The Packers also ruled out WR Savion Williams (foot), who did not practice all week.

Savion Williams (foot) did not practice Monday.
He played through the foot listing last week, generating zero yards on his lone touch. Non-dynasty managers don’t have to worry about Williams this season between his lack of progress and Green Bay’s lack of interest in throwing.

Packers WR Romeo Doubs (wrist) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Nearly the entire Packers pass-catching group was either limited or not practicing on Wednesday. Doubs was listed as a limited participant with a wrist injury, along with three other Packers wideouts listed as limited and Savion Williams (foot) listed as a non-participant. Doubs is the current lead receiver in an offense that does not have a definitive No. 1 receiver. If he were to miss time, Christian Watson would be first up for a bump, followed by the rookie Matthew Golden. Stay tuned to Doubs and the rest of the Green Bay receivers’ statuses this week; the Packers’ fantasy hierarchy could see a shake-up if multiple receivers cannot play Week 12 against the Vikings.

Savion Williams caught a 33-yard pass in the Packers’ Week 11 win over the Giants.
The third-round rookie’s lone target was his fourth quarter grab which came against extremely tight coverage on 3rd-and-10. It was a highlight-reel level play, and the longest reception of his young career. Williams is playing extremely few snaps even as the Packers hunt for playmakers, but the rare times he’s on the field, he seems to command targets. Six days shy of his 24th birthday, Williams’ advanced age limits his long-term dynasty appeal, but he remains worth an end-of-bench spot.

Packers WR Dontyavion Wicks (calf) is questionable for Green Bay’s Week 1 game against the Lions.
Ditto Savion Williams, as both got in three limited sessions and are likely on the optimistic side of questionable. Malik Heath could get involved if one of these two receivers gets ruled out ahead of the action on Sunday. As it is, Wicks profiles as a FLEX dart throw and Williams probably shouldn’t be started without either Wicks or Jayden Reed being ruled out.

Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks (calf) was limited on Wednesday.
Wicks appears to be truly questionable for the Packers’ Week 1 game against the Lions. He picked up the injury at the end of July and was allowed to return after just two days off. The issue again forced him from practice in mid-August, and it apparently remains an issue heading into the season’s opening weekend. The Packers could be thin at wide receiver this weekend, clearing the way for rookie Matthew Golden to secure a starting role. Christian Watson (knee) is sidelined for at least four weeks and Jayden Reed (foot) was unable to practice today. Third-round rookie WR Savion Williams (hamstring) was limited.

Packers WR Savion Williams (concussion) was limited on Sunday.
Williams missed practice on Friday, so his limited availability is a step in the right direction. He participated in early drill work and sat out for the Packers’ 11-on-11 periods. He was having a strong camp before suffering a concussion. The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman notes that OG Aaron Banks (back) returned to practice in a limited capacity as well.
