Free agent LT Cordy Glenn visited the Eagles.
The 30-year-old former second-round pick of the Bills could be an option to help solve the Eagles’ left-tackle situation following the torn biceps to 2019 first-rounder Andre Dillard. Glenn’s 2019 was ruined by a concussion, and he was released by the Bengals in March. He’s appeared in just 23-of-48 games over the last three seasons due to injuries, but Glenn was previously one of the more solid left tackles in the sport when he was in Buffalo.

  • Bengals released OT Cordy Glenn.
Cincy attempted to trade him, but nobody was willing to give up assets for the veteran tackle. Glenn started 19 games over the last two seasons, grading out as PFF’s No. 38 offensive tackle last year. An experienced 30-year-old, Glenn should have a market as a low-end starter this free agency period, but he may have to settle for a short-term deal.
  • ESPN’s Jenna Laine reports the Bengals are shopping OT Cordy Glenn around.
Previous reports indicated that the Bengals will release Glenn. It seems as though the team is attempting to get anything in return before cutting ties with the 30-year-old tackle. He started 19 games with the Bengals over the past two seasons, but battled a concussion and generally feuded with the team in 2019. It’s unclear how much of a market exists for PFF’s No. 38 overall offensive tackle.
  • Geoff Hobson of the Bengals’ official website believes the team will release LT Cordy Glenn.
Glenn is headed into the final year of his contract, and the Bengals can clear all $9.5 million in cap space by cutting him with no dead-money absorption. Glenn battled concussions last and played in just six games. He’ll be entering his age-31 season. Glenn can still play at this level, but the Bengals are ready to move forward with 2019 first-rounder Jonah Williams at left tackle after he missed his entire rookie year.
  • Bengals LT Cordy Glenn is expected to start Week 12 against the Steelers.
The veteran tackle is finally ready to resume his starting post after sitting out the first 10 games of 2019. It’s been a turbulent year for Glenn, who has battled a concussion while feuding with the organization, culminating in a heated exchange that led to his suspension last month. He should be a massive improvement on John Jerry, who has been a turnstile at left tackle for the winless Bengals.
  • Bengals LT Cordy Glenn (questionable, concussion) is not expected to play Week 10 against the Ravens.
He’s still not ready to see the field after reportedly practicing with the scout team this week. Between his concussion, recurring shoulder woes and clashes with the team’s coaching staff, Glenn has yet to play a down this season. With Glenn headed for another absence, John Jerry will be tasked with protecting Ryan Finley in the rookie’s starting debut against Baltimore.
  • The Cincinnati Enquirer’s Tyler Dragon reports the Bengals are “listening to offers” for LT Cordy Glenn.
Glenn has yet to play a snap this season after missing the first seven games with a concussion before being ruled out Week 8 with a shoulder injury. It was a new “injury” but perhaps one to protect him ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline. Glenn, 30, was once a solid left tackle in Buffalo but has battled injuries in Cincinnati. He was expected to play left guard for the Bengals this year prior to first-round LT Jonah Williams’ season-ending shoulder injury in the summer. Glenn is signed through 2020.
  • Bengals LT Cordy Glenn (shoulder) is out for Week 8 against the Rams.
He won’t be on hand for Sunday’s game at Wembley Stadium in London. Glenn was reinstated from his team-imposed one-game suspension earlier this week but apparently his balky shoulder isn’t up to snuff. The seven-year vet was seen working with the second unit at Thursday’s practice. John Jerry will grab another start at left tackle for the winless Bengals.
  • Bengals reinstated LT Cordy Glenn from his one-game suspension.
They released Anthony Zettel in a corresponding roster move. Glenn was suspended last week for conduct detrimental to the team following an outburst last Wednesday that reportedly culminated in the veteran asking for his release. It’s unclear if Glenn will start in place of John Jerry ahead of the Bengals’ Week 8 matchup against the Rams.
  • Bengals suspended LT Corey Glenn one game for disciplinary reasons.
Glenn had already been fined $200,000 for conduct detrimental to the team following an outburst Wednesday that reportedly culminated in the veteran asking for his release. Apparently Glenn has been at odds with the Bengals over the handling of his concussion. With all the bad blood that’s been spilled, the two sides appear headed for a messy divorce. John Jerry will spell Glenn at left tackle Sunday versus Jacksonville.
