Texans signed TE Darrell Daniels, formerly of the Cardinals.
Daniels spent the past four seasons in Arizona, appearing in 40 games. Though he is a non-factor as a pass-catcher, Daniels is a solid blocker who gets plenty of snaps. He should rotate in for the Texans on early downs if he makes their final roster.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Maxx Williams may have suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 5 against the 49ers.
Williams took a brutal shot to the right knee in Arizona’s Week 5 win and was carted off the field. Williams had established himself as a consistent part of the Cardinals’ productive passing game, catching 15 of 15 targets from Kyler Murray from Week 2 to Week 4. He averaged 21.33 pass routes per game in that stretch and played nearly 66 percent of the Cards’ offensive snaps. His loss means Darrell Daniels -- who’s on the COVID-19 list -- is Arizona’s No. 1 tight end going forward. Daniels could be interesting in deep tight end premium formats.

    Cardinals re-signed TE Darrell Daniels.
Claimed off waivers in 2018, Daniels has emerged as a key blocker on offense, making eight starts in 2020. Going on 27, Daniels has only 12 career receptions, thought eight of them came last year. We still would not expect a leap in the pass-catching department.

Cardinals claimed TE Darrell Daniels off waivers from the Seahawks.
He’s also spent time with the Colts. Daniels, 24, showed elite athleticism coming out of the University of Washington but was never a big-time producer with fewer than 20 catches in all four college seasons.

Colts signed Washington TE Darrell Daniels.
Daniels (6’3/247) made 18 starts in four years as a Huskie, managing a career 47-728-5 (15.5 YPR) receiving line and earning honorable mention All-Pac 12 as a senior. PFF College charted Daniels with just two career drops. Although Daniels never reached 20 catches in a college season, he is an elite athlete for the position with 4.55 speed and long arms (34 ½"). Daniels also played special teams throughout college, which should help his bid for an early-career roster spot. Recruited to Washington as a wideout, Daniels offers developmental upside as a “move” tight end.

Kevin Bowen of Colts.com called TE Darrell Daniels a name to watch among the Colts’ undrafted rookies.
It was a mild surprise when Daniels went undrafted out of Washington, and the Colts don’t have much tight end depth behind Jack Doyle and Erik Swoope. The Colts have rostered at least one UDFA in 18 straight seasons. Bowen also mentioned UFDAs CB Dante Blackmon and RB Dalton Crossan as candidates to make the team.
