Free agent DT Domata Peko has “turned down several offers” from teams.
Peko is “waiting for the right fit” and wants to play for a contender. He’s been linked to the Bengals, but that now looks unlikely. 35-year-old Peko should eventually settle on a team.

  • FA Defensive Lineman
    Ravens signed DT Domata Peko.
Peko went unsigned after the Broncos let him walk this offseason. He had some interest from teams but spent the first 10 weeks out of the league. With Michael Pierce and Daylon Mack dealing with injuries, Peko gives the Ravens some needed depth.

The Lions have interest in free agent DT Domata Peko.
Peko visited with Detroit last week. The Lions are the only team that have been linked to him since his release from Denver. Peko has said he’d be open to playing for the Rams, but it’s not clear if the interest is mutual.

Broncos have informed free agent Domata Peko that they will not re-sign him in the early portion of the free agent period.
Peko wants to re-sign with Denver, but the team is actively looking for younger options at nose tackle during the early portion of free agency. Despite entering his age-35 season, Peko should receive offers in free agency after grading as an above-average interior defensive lineman against the run by PFF, and that could even include an offer from the Broncos later in the process.

Free agent Domata Peko wants to re-sign with the Broncos.
Peko was a solid run-stopping presence for Denver last year, grading above-average on the interior at PFF. He fits in new coach Vic Fangio’s 3-4 scheme. Entering his age-35 season, Peko shouldn’t cost much to re-sign.

Bengals DT Domata Peko triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $3.7 million to $3.9 million.
Peko’s 2014 base salary also gets an uptick, going from $3.925 million to $3.965 million. The 28-year-old recorded 53 tackles and two sacks in 2012, but his main job is to just eat up blockers to free up his teammates -- like the man lining up next to him, Geno Atkins. Peko has two years left on his current deal.

Benagls NT Domata Peko (knee) particpated in OTAs and declared himself 100 percent.
Peko also said he was 100 percent for the Wild Card round loss to the Jets, but clearly wasn’t. When healthy, Peko is a run-stuffing force on the interior of the Bengals’ line.
  • FA Defensive Lineman
Broncos signed NT Domata Peko, formerly of the Bengals, to a two-year, $7.5 million contract.
The Broncos also inked ex-Colts DT Zach Kerr to a two-year contract. A Bengal his entire 11-year career, Peko’s snaps have gradually declined, along with his effectiveness. Peko is a gigantic body in the middle, but he’s a replacement-level talent at this point. He will be a rotational run stuffer in Denver.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson reports the Vikings have reached out to free agent DT Domata Peko.
According to Tomasson, the Bengals, Eagles, and 49ers are also in the mix. Peko played for Vikings coach Mike Zimmer in Cincinnati and is a logical fit as a depth piece in Minnesota, though his game has fallen off in recent years. Peko turns 33 this year and won’t cost much on a short-term deal.

Bengals signed NT Domata Peko to a two-year, $9 million extension through 2016.
Peko was entering the final year of his contract and scheduled to earn a $4.125 million base salary. He’s now signed through his age-32 season, while three-technique stud Geno Atkins is under contract through 2018. Peko has missed just five games in eight seasons and hasn’t missed a start in four years. He’s a solid bet for 50-plus tackles and a couple sacks per season.
