Brewers RHP Erick Fedde has elected free agency.
The Brewers ourighted Fedde to Triple-A at the end of September, so now the 32-year-old will head to the open market in the off-season. Fedde was inffective as a starter in 2025, posting a 8.10 ERA in 23 1/3 innings with the Braves and a 5.22 ERA in 101 2/3 innings with the Cardinals. However, he did end the season with a 3.38 ERA in 16 innings out of the bullpen for the Brewers, so perhaps that’s the path forward for him in 2026.

Brewers sent RHP Erick Fedde outright to Triple-A Nashville.
The outright assignment paves the way for Fedde to potentially return to Milwaukee at some point in the postseason, if needed, as emergency relief depth. The 32-year-old veteran registered a surprising 3.38 ERA across 16 innings of work over seven relief appearances after signing with Milwaukee in late August.

Brewers designated RHP Erick Fedde for assignment.
The decision to jettison Fedde comes as a bit of a surprise since the 32-year-old veteran was thought to be in the mix for a postseason roster spot after compiling a solid 3.38 ERA across 16 innings of work over seven relief appearances since arriving in Milwaukee back in late August. He figures to pass through waivers unclaimed and could still wind up appearing in the postseason if he accepts an outright assignment.

Erick Fedde allowed eight hits and two runs with two strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter across 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Fedde was thrown directly into the fire by his new club after being acquired today and asked to fill in for Quinn Priester, who was scratched. He followed Aaron Ashby – who was nasty in two innings of work – and pitched well enough to keep his team in the game. He threw his changeup less often than in any other start this year and while we shouldn’t expect it, no one would be surprised if the Brewers could coax a somewhat effective stint out of Fedde here.

Quinn Priester has been scratched from Wednesday’s start against the Diamondbacks due to a right wrist injury.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters Priester will not require a trip to the injured list but will need a few extra days off. The 24-year-old rookie is on track to take the ball on Saturday against the Blue Jays. It’ll be Aaron Ashby and newly signed veteran Erick Fedde making a bulk relief appearance on Wednesday night in his place.

Brewers signed RHP Erick Fedde to a one-year contract.
Fedde has been highly ineffective in 2025 and was awful with Atlanta (8.10 ERA) in his five appearances, but Milwaukee will give the 32-year-old a shot. He’s taking the roster spot — but not role — of Trevor Megill, with Megill hitting the injured list with a flexor strain. Fedde could make starts for the Brew Crew, but also may just work as a multi-inning reliever. Either way, fantasy managers shouldn’t be too interested.

    Braves released RHP Erick Fedde.
Atlanta has decided to move on from Fedde altogether after he struggled mightily with a bloated 8.10 ERA across 23 1/3 innings of work in five appearances (four starts) since coming over from the Cardinals at last month’s trade deadline. The move doesn’t come as a shock considering the recent results, but the 32-year-old righty, who was set to become a free agent at the conclusion of the season, figured to soak up innings over the final five weeks for the club’s injury-ravaged rotation.

Erick Fedde allowed four runs on six hits in four innings in a no-decision against the Guardians on Sunday.
Fedde walked three and struck out five, and now has a 5.52 ERA on the season. Chris Sale (ribs) looked good in his rehab start in Triple-A on Sunday and may need one more start before he comes back and takes Fedde’s place in the rotation. We would not use Fedde in any fantasy leagues.

Erick Fedde allowed four runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a win against the Marlins on Saturday.
Fedde held the Marlins scoreless through three innings before running into trouble in the fourth. Miami would bring four runs across on a walk and four hits. Fedde would toss one more scoreless frame before his day was done at 102 pitches. He struck out four. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 5.40 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, and a 70/55 K/BB ratio across 116 2/3 innings into a start against the Guardians in Cleveland on Friday.

Erick Fedde fell to 3-12 after allowing three runs in 5 1/3 innings Monday against the Brewers.
The runs all scored on Isaac Collins’ homer in the fourth. Fedde generated a lot of soft contact otherwise, but the 87-pitch outing produced zero strikeouts and just two missed swings. He has a 5.32 ERA and a dreadful 14% strikeout rate, but at least he should have KBO suitors if no major league teams come calling this winter. If he stays in the rotation, he’ll face the Marlins this weekend.
