  • DET Wide Receiver #14
Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 7-of-11 targets for 87 yards in the Lions’ Conference Championship loss to the 49ers, adding two yards on one carry.
St. Brown made good on the offseason buzz in 2023, finishing as the WR4 in PPR points per game behind only CeeDee Lamb, Tyreek Hill, and Keenan Allen. He is likely to find himself drafted in the middle of the first round in redraft formats after ending the 2023 offseason near the one-two turn. St. Brown enters the final year of his rookie contract with a looming team option after the 2024 season, likely looking at a lucrative extension or contract elsewhere following the coming league year.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #3
Tank Dell was treated for a “minor” gun shot wound early Sunday.
Dell was reportedly a “bystander during a shooting at a private event (where a) teenage gunman wounded 10 people after an altercation,” ESPN reports. Dell was not seriously wounded, and has already been released from the hospital and returned to Houston. Recovering from a major December leg injury, it appears Dell has escaped with “only” a scare. With Stefon Diggs now a Texan alongside Nico Collins, Dell could have problems cracking the top 36 at receiver in 2024, especially if there are any after effects of his Dec. injury.
  • WAS Cornerback
Commanders signed Colorado State CB Chigozie Anusiem.
Anusiem (6’1/200) is a six-year prospect who transferred to Colorado State ahead of the 2022 season; Anusiem has two years of starting experience under his belt. He played almost entirely on the outside and allowed just 228 yards and one touchdown per PFF in 2022. Unfortunately, he took a step back in 2023, allowing 31-330-4 on 48 targets while breaking up just two passes. He has the size to match up with receivers on the pro level and blew scouts away with solid athletic testing at his pro day after being snubbed by the NFL Scouting Combine. Anusiem is a good size/speed prospect who has ample experience on special teams, which should give him a path to making a roster if he performs well in camp.
  • DEN Wide Receiver
Broncos signed Washington State WR Lincoln Victor.
Victor (5’9/177) started his career at Hawaii but transferred to Washington State in 2021. He finally broke through in 2023 when he went for 87-850-5, which more than doubled his receiving total from his previous four seasons. Victor played 80.6 percent of his career snaps from the slot and averaged a meager 10.1 YPR for his career. Some experience on special teams could help him stick on a roster but we wouldn’t expect much more than that at this point.
  • WAS Quarterback
Commanders signed Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman.
After previous reports that Hartman (6'1/211) was signing with the Bears, the six-year prospect is now set to join the Commanders, who gave him a guaranteed base salary of $225K — a notable amount for a UDFA. After spending five seasons at Wake Forest in which he amassed 12,967-110-41, Hartman closed out his career in 2023 at Notre Dame, throwing for 2689-24-8 while leading the team to a 9-3 record. A willing deep ball thrower who is capable of extending plays from the pocket, but turnovers have also been a concern. His 2.5 percent interception rate is among the highest for recent quarterback prospects, and he completed less than 60 percent of his passes for his career. Hartman has the experience and talent to earn a legitimate look from teams, but he’ll need to fight to earn a QB2 role early in his career. He finds himself in a QB2 competition with veteran Marcus Mariota, as Jayden Daniels will likely earn the starting job in camp.
  • KC Wide Receiver #85
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports WR John Ross will participate in Eagles rookie camp this week “on a tryout basis.”
Ross retired last season but is now reportedly looking at a comeback. An injury-riddle career limited him to just 37 games over five seasons, and Ross hasn’t taken a regular-season snap since 2021, when he went for 11-224-1 with the Giants. At 28 years old, durability is more of a concern for Ross than age. While it’s possible he does enough to earn an invitation to camp, it’s hard to imagine him making much of an impact even if he does latch on to a roster — in Philly or elsewhere.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #87
Bills signed WR Quintez Cephus, formerly of the Lions.
Cephus was reinstated from a season-long suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy and will now have a chance to make the Bills’ roster. Cephus, a former fifth-round pick, has appeared in 22 games over his career, catching 37 passes for 568 yards and four scores while playing 83.1 percent of his snaps from out wide. While this is likely a one-year prove-it deal, the Bills receiving corps may be then enough for Cephus to land a spot on the regular season roster when all is said and done.
  • WAS Wide Receiver
Commanders signed Georgia WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint.
Rosemy-Jacksaint (6’1/195) was a four-year player at Georgia whose best season came in 2023 when he totaled 34-535-4. Often overshadowed by highly skilled receivers and tight ends, Rosemy-Jacksaint found little opportunity to make an impact with the Bulldogs. He opted not to run at the NFL Scouting Combine, only to run a 4.81 at Georgia’s Pro Day, and post a RAS of 1.68. Athleticism isn’t everything for a receiver, but Rosemy-Jacksaint certainly comes up on the short end relative to his peers. He’ll need to battle for a spot on a 53-man roster in camp.
  • SF Center
49ers signed Michigan C Drake Nugent.
Nugent (6'2/298) played four years at Stanford before transferring to Ann Arbor for the 2023 season as part of the exodus from Palo Alto following David Shaw’s resignation as Stanford’s HC. To that point, he had garnered two all-conference honors as well as being voted the team captain. Landing at Michigan, Nugent occupied the center spot for the 2023 National Champions and once again earned all-conference recognition. As a prospect, he is an active player who is always looking for work, but his lack of physical gifts (69th percentile RAS) paired with a 6’1.5” frame is cause for concern. Nugent is more of a “get in the way” blocker, which shows off his deep understanding of angles and escape routes. Though he was a key player in the Wolverines’ CFP run, he was definitely not a driving force, even with the talent surrounding him.
  • PIT Running Back
Steelers signed Georgia RB Daijun Edwards.
Spending four years at Georgia, Edwards(5’10/207) enters the draft after a productive 2023 season. Leading the Bulldogs in rushing, he totaled 165 carries for 880 yards and 13 touchdowns, adding 20 receptions for 197 yards in 12 games. Edwards worked just ahead of fellow draftee Kendall Milton in the Georgia backfield, taking more of the early down and pass-catching opportunities. He did not run the 40-yard dash but participated in running back drills at the combine. Edwards tested with a 9’6 broad jump, the worst amongst RBs. However, his college production consists of lateral ability and strength in his running. Likely a late-round pick, Edwards won’t be an early down back in the NFL but could complement a committee with his strong running style.
  • PHI Safety
Eagles signed LSU S Andre’ Sam.
A rare seven-year prospect due to a medical redshirt in 2018, Sam (5’11/191) spent five years at McNeese State before transferring to Marshall in 2022 and then LSU in 2023. He saw ample playing time wherever he played, and has also seen plenty of snaps from the slot. Sam led LSU with three interceptions last season and may be better suited for a slot role given his size and trouble with finishing tackles at the FBS level. He’ll be 26 next February, and will likely need time on a practice squad before he can be considered for a 53-man roster.
