Undrafted rookie OLB Dezman Moses has seen some action with the Packers’ second-team defense at OTAs.
Clay Matthews got some rest early in Organized Team Activities, so Moses jumped onto the second string behind Erik Walden. Moses began college at Iowa, before getting into off-the-field trouble and transferring to Tulane. He was highly productive for the Green Wave and is a sleeper to make the Packers.

Undrafted rookie OLB Dezman Moses has been “the surprise of OTAs/minicamp,” according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Already picking up second-team reps, Moses ascended to the first team on Thursday with Clay Matthews resting. A 6-foot-2, 253-pound former Tulane defensive end, Moses tallied 114 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, and 15 sacks in two years with the Green Wave. He’s shown an impressive first step as a pass rusher.

Fox Sports Wisconsin came away from Friday’s scrimmage convinced that undrafted OLB Dezman Moses is “for real.”
Added Packers blogger Aaron Nagler, “That is the Lord’s truth.” Moses has been turning heads in Green Bay ever since offseason practices kicked off. It’s even more impressive that he’s still standing out after the hitting has begun. Expect Moses to play a situational role behind Clay Matthews and first-rounder Nick Perry.

Packers rookie OLB Nick Perry reportedly underwent surgery on his left wrist Tuesday.
According to NBC Milwaukee, the first-round pass rusher is expected to be placed on injured reserve. Perry first injured his wrist in Week 1, but played through it until injuring his knee in Week 6. He totaled 18 tackles and two sacks in six games, earning a positive pass rush grade from Pro Football Focus. With Clay Matthews (hamstring) in danger of missing Week 11, the Packers will have to rely on Erik Walden, Brad Jones, and Dezman Moses.

    Packers waived OLB Dezman Moses.
Moses recorded four sacks as an undrafted rookie in 2012, and is likely to generate interest on waivers. Final rosters are far from set, but the Packers appear to be rolling with Andy Mulumba and Nate Palmer over Moses.

Chiefs claimed OLB Dezman Moses off waivers from the Packers.
New Kansas City GM John Dorsey knows Moses from Green Bay, where the 2012 UDFA recorded four sacks as a rookie. It’s a solid pickup for the Chiefs, who are sorely in need of depth behind starters Tamba Hali and Justin Houston.

Chiefs re-signed OLB Dezman Moses to a one-year deal.
Moses missed all of last season on injured reserve. He appeared in 13 games with Kansas City in 2013. Moses will compete for a backup/special teams role.
