XGolf improves visual displays on simulator

Like many other pieces of golf equipment, simulators continue to push the technological envelope. And the new XGolf Model E is just one more example of that.

Listing for just under $30,000 and targeted for a wide audience that ranges from individuals looking for high-end home entertainment to golf professionals interested in highly-sophisticated, indoor-teaching tools, the Model E comes with an all-new, touch-screen display.

According to company officials, that feature’s user-friendly interface makes it particularly effective when it comes to accurate swing training and video analysis. In addition, this XGolf simulator has an advanced graphics engine that is designed to provide even more realistic visual displays than previous models, while also capturing the beauty of the nearly 100 golf courses on its user menus better than ever before.

An event function mode with putting challenges, as well as closest to the pin and longest drive capabilities, is especially popular with bar and restaurant owners, who set up these simulators in their places of business.

As it boasts those new features, the Model E employs several tried and true technologies that XGolf has used with great success in other simulator offerings, such as the XPlate Variable Lie Positioning System, which detects ground slopes and automatically adjusts to those contours to give golfers more realistic experiences. And that aspect of the product can also be used as a training aid, so players can work on shots from, say, uphill and sidehill lies.

Another feature of note is the XBall Intelligent Teeing System, which automatically gathers the golf balls and puts them on tees before each shot. It can also remember a player’s tee-height setting every time.
