Momah and Jim Dray are Arizona’s only healthy tight ends with Jermaine Gresham (ribs) and Troy Niklas (hip) questionable. Gresham is a game-time decision despite not practicing, but he may be limited if active. Momah should see a few targets if one of Gresham or Niklas doesn’t play this week.

Momah entered the league as an intriguing 6-foot-7, 230-pound receiver with the Eagles, but wasn’t cutting it at the position. He finally gave in and agreed to switch to tight end. Now 255, Momah has “really impressed” coach Bruce Arians at minicamp. With John Carlson retired, Momah has a chance to make the team.

Eagles WR Ifeanyi Momah started the team’s preseason opener against the Bears.
With Riley Cooper sidelined, Momah has been getting “a ton” of first-team reps at training camp, and earned the start Friday night. He caught two of his three targets for 15 yards. Momah will be relegated to second-team duties once Cooper returns, but his spot on the roster seems secure.

Eagles WR Ifeanyi Momah has been getting “a ton” of first-team reps over the last week at training camp.
It’s primarily been because Riley Cooper (foot) is banged up, but still notable for Momah’s roster chances. A name to keep in mind, Momah stands in at a Carmichaelian 6-foot-7, 229. Chip Kelly is trying to get bigger at wide receiver.
  • FA Tight End
Cardinals placed TE Ifeanyi Momah (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Momah was diagnosed with a torn meniscus earlier this week. The Cardinals have already used his vacant roster spot to sign former Lions tight end Joseph Fauria.

It’s believed he suffered the injury in Arizona’s preseason finale, or in a practice after that. Momah is a tree at 6-foot-7, and shined in August with six preseason receptions for 92 yards. There are unconfirmed rumors the Cardinals will sign free agent Joseph Fauria to take Momah’s roster spot.

Cardinals signed TE Ifeanyi Momah to a one-year contract.
Momah is the third-known Veteran Combine participant to land a contract. The 6-foot-7 receiver-tight end hybrid has bounced around the league since being part of the Eagles’ final cuts last summer. All he really offers is size.
