Former Illinois basketball star Jereme Richmond faces several charges, including battery, assault and unlawful use of a weapon after he had a confrontation with his 17-year-old girlfriend.
Richmond, 19, left Illinois after his freshman year and entered the NBA Draft, but wasn’t selected despite some lottery potential early in his college career. His bond is set at $100,000 and while hindsight is 20-20, he clearly should have stayed in school.
