    Browns waived S Jermaine Whitehead.
Whitehead lashed out at fans and media members on social media Sunday night after drawing criticism for a poor performance in Week 9, which included a missed tackle and a 75-yard-touchdown allowed to Denver tight end Noah Fant. “Jermaine Whitehead’s social media posts following today’s game were totally unacceptable and highly inappropriate,” said the Browns in a statement after learning of Whitehead’s tweets, which resulted in his account being suspended. The third-year safety has submitted 41 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble over 501 defensive snaps this season. Teams probably won’t be lining up to sign him following Sunday’s lapse in judgment.

    Packers waived S Jermaine Whitehead.
A fourth-year UDFA, Whitehead had made a few starts season, but he got torched by Todd Gurley in Week 8. He then committed a catastrophic penalty against the Patriots. Whitehead’s release is surprising in that the Packers just traded away Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, but coach Mike McCarthy wants to send a message as he tries to salvage his sinking ship season.

Packers signed C Jacob Flores, OLB Reggie Gilbert, WR Antwan Goodley, LB Derrick Mathews, G Lucas Patrick, DT Brian Price and S Jermaine Whitehead to reserve/futures contracts.
No big names here. All seven were on the Packers’ practice squad this past season.

Packers S Jermaine Whitehead was cited for driving 110 MPH in a 70 MPH zone on May 19.
Whitehead, along with three Packers teammates, was pulled over at 3:39 AM in Wisconsin as they were trying to get to Green Bay for workouts at 8 AM that morning. He faces a $515.50 fine. Whitehead spent most of 2017 on the practice squad but appeared in two games as a special teamer.

    Ravens waived S Jermaine Whitehead.
They also waived Marlon Brown, Nordly Capi and Nick Perry. Whitehead signed with Baltimore in December after spending most of his rookie year on the Niners’ practice squad. He’ll catch on as a camp body somewhere else.

49ers signed Auburn S Jermaine Whitehead.
Whitehead (5'11/197) was a three-year starter in the Tigers’ secondary, amassing nine INTs and contributing on special teams throughout his college career. Although Whitehead ran 4.59 at the Combine, he excelled in the vertical (37") and broad (10'8") jumps and was a top performer in the three-cone and shuttle drills. A quick-twitch mover who holds his own in run support, Whitehead’s draft stock was affected by clashes with the Auburn coaching staff, his smallish build for a safety and questionable on-field instincts.

    Ravens re-signed S Jermaine Whitehead.
He was an exclusive rights free agent. Whitehead spent most of his rookie year on the 49ers’ practice squad before joining Baltimore in late December. The Auburn alum has yet to play an NFL snap.
