Jets S Tony Adams (groin) left New York’s Week 2 game against the Bills and is questionable to return.
Adams was dinged up early in the first quarter. He has his helmet in his hands on the sideline, but it seems unlikely that he will come back into this game. Adams really struggled in Week 1, so the Jets will turn to rookie Malachi Moore.
  • Jets signed No. 7 overall pick OT Armand Membou to a four-year contract.
ESPN’s Rich Cimini reports Membou’s deal is worth roughly $31.9 million. The Jets now boast a top-flight offensive line, keyed by its offensive tackle tandem with OT Olu Fashanu on the left and Membou on the right. The unit should provide Justin Fields with comfortable pockets in 2025. The Jets also signed third-round CB Azareye’h Thomas and fourth-round S Malachi Moore to four-year contracts.
  • NYJ Safety
Jets traded up with the Eagles to select Alabama S Malachi Moore with the No. 130 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Jets traded up to grab Moore while the Eagles opted to move back. Moore had an up-and-down five-year college career but ultimately found success after switching from slot cornerback to primarily playing free safety in 2024. Moore started as a true freshman in 2020 before losing the starting slot role to current Detroit Lions DB Brian Branch. Moore tied for the third-most pass breakups (seven) among Power Five safeties last season, and set career highs in solo tackles (52) and assists (18), while tying his career high in stops (20). Moore’s size (5’11"/196) could be a problem in run defense, but he does not shy away from contact.
  • NYJ Defensive Back #27
Alabama freshman DB Malachi Moore was ejected from Saturday’s game at Texas A&M for targeting.
Less than two minutes into the game, Moore (6'0/190) delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit to Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada. And it didn’t take very long for the replay official to confirm the original call. While Moore’s absence will have an impact on Alabama’s dime package, they should be able to fill the resulting void without much difficulty.

  • NYJ Defensive Back #27
Alabama received a verbal commitment from four-star 2020 CB Malachi Moore.
Moore ranks 13th on 247 Sports list of cornerbacks, and the 5-foot-11, 171-pound defender ranks sixth among prospects from the state of Alabama on the recruiting site’s list. Moore also had early offers from schools like Alabama, Florida, Clemson and LSU; and as we all know, a commitment this early is far from a certainty. That being said, it’s another great get for the Crimson Tide for now, and Alabama’s 2020 class ranks second in the nation on the 247 Sports list.
