Giants fired OL coach Marc Colombo.
Colombo came over with OC Jason Garrett from Dallas this offseason. The Giants’ offensive line has been a disaster through the first 10 weeks, allowing the third-most sacks (31) in the league. Ex-Dolphins OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo was hired to replace Colombo.

  • FA Tackle #71
Bears T Marc Colombo will open the season on the physically-unable-to-perform list.
He’ll miss at least the first six games. Colombo has not played since November 2002 because of a dislocated left knee. He says he’ll be ready to play this season.
  • FA Tackle #71
Bears T Marc Colombo will begin practicing with the team on Wednesday.
He’s on the physcially-unable-to-perform list and hasn’t played for 23 months because of a dislocated knee. Chicago hopes he’ll be ready to play during the second half of the season.
  • FA Tackle #71
Bears tackle Marc Colombo will get a chance at Chicago’s starting left takle job.
The 2002 first-round pick is active this week for the first time in two years. He could replace the disappointing Quasim Mitchell.
  • FA Tackle #71
Bears T Marc Colombo, out since November of 2002, could return to practice this month.
It would be a huge lift to the Bears offensive line to get Colombo, a former first-round pick, back in the mix.
  • FA Tackle #71
Giants expected to hire ex-Cowboys OL coach Marc Colombo for the same role.
Colombo is, of course, very familiar with Giants OC Jason Garrett. His primary task will be limiting the amount of rushers that make it to Daniel Jones, who fumbled an ungodly 18 times in just 13 games last season.
  • FA Tackle #71
The Cowboys will retain OL coach Marc Colombo for 2019.
The Cowboys fired ex-OL coach Paul Alexander during their Week 8 bye, and Colombo took over. He apparently acquitted himself well during the second half of the season.
  • FA Tackle #71
Cowboys T Marc Colombo has taken over the team’s starting right tackle job.
It’s not exactly a great sign for the Dallas line. Rob Petitti struggled last year and free agent acquisition Jason Fabini may not even make the team. Colombo is a former first-round pick that couldn’t stay healthy in Chicago.
  • FA Quarterback #4
Chad Henne is on pace to take 59 sacks this season.
Henne has never had great pocket presence, but LG Richie Incognito admits the offensive line has been a major problem. It’s not just on washed-up RT Marc Colombo, who leads the NFL in QB pressures allowed (13). Pro Bowl LT Jake Long has already allowed four sacks, and RG Vernon Carey has allowed five pressures and five hits. Long will improve; the other two will likely stay shaky all season.
  • FA Tackle #71
Former Dolphins and Cowboys RT Marc Colombo has decided to retire.
Colombo signed a ceremonial one-day contract in Dallas Friday so he could retire as a Cowboy. He spent five years as their starting right tackle before moving aside in favor of Tyron Smith last season. Colombo, who will turn 34 in October, graded out as one of the worst tackles in the NFL while playing for the Dolphins last season.
