Aaron Judge hit a pair of two-run homers Saturday as the Yankees crushed the Tigers 20-3.
Spencer Jones, Payton Henry, Roderick Arias, and Tyler Hardman also homered for the Yankees. Judge typically isn’t a big spring training guy — he had just one homer in 24 spring games the last two years — but he might have put some extra work in leading up to this one as he prepares for his first World Baseball Classic. His homers today were hit 420 and 395 feet.

Jasson Domínguez is in left field and leading off Saturday’s Grapefruit League lid-lifter against the Tigers.
Domínguez enters a pivotal spring training without a clear avenue to regular playing time after New York re-signed veterans Cody Bellinger and Trent Grisham earlier this offseason. The 23-year-old former top prospect could potentially wind up back at Triple-A to continue his development by playing everyday. These situations have a way of sorting themselves out but it’s clear that Domínguez will offer minimal fantasy appeal in a reduced role at the highest level. Here is the full lineup: Domínguez (LF), Aaron Judge (RF), Ryan McMahon (3B), Paul Goldschmidt (DH), Seth Brown (1B), Paul DeJong (SS), Spencer Jones (CF), Max Schuemann (2B) and Ali Sánchez (C).

Aaron Judge won the 2025 American League Most Valuable Player Award.
Judge received 17 of 30 first-place votes to narrowly edge Cal Raleigh in one of the most compelling MVP races in recent memory, capturing the award for the second straight season and third time in his career. The 33-year-old Yankees icon led the majors with 10.1 WAR (per FanGraphs) while slashing .331/.457/.688 with 53 homers and 114 RBI across 152 games. Raleigh garnered the remaining 13 first-place votes to finish as the runner-up after delivering one of the greatest offensive seasons ever by a catcher, launching a record-setting 60 homers over 159 contests. José Ramírez finished a distant third, just ahead of Bobby Witt Jr. in AL MVP Award balloting.

Aaron Judge was among the winners of the American League Silver Slugger Awards.

Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh and José Ramírez were named finalists for the American League MVP Award.
Judge and Raleigh headline one of the most compelling AL MVP races in recent memory, with both franchise cornerstones building hardware-worthy cases. Raleigh crushed a major league-leading 60 home runs, shattering nearly every single-season offensive record imaginable for a catcher. Meanwhile, Judge is aiming to capture the award for the third time in four years after eclipsing the 50-homer plateau once again and finishing with a major league-best .331/.457/.688 slash line. Ramírez remains one of the game’s most underappreciated superstars, earning a top-three finish in MVP voting for the fourth time in his 13-year career. The winner will be announced on Thursday, November 13.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Aaron Judge won’t need surgery on his right elbow.
Judge, who recently underwent another MRI, was limited after suffering a flexor tendon strain in late July. If he went in to have it repaired, he’d almost certainly miss the start of 2026. “He’ll take some time off and continue to do strengthening things and rehab stuff,” Boone said.

Aaron Judge didn’t rule out the possibility of undergoing offseason surgery to repair a flexor strain in his right elbow.
Judge told reporters following New York’s elimination from the postseason that “we’ll definitely do some work on it and get it right.” The 33-year-old Yankees icon was diagnosed with a flexor strain in late July and was mostly limited to DH during the second half before returning to right field in the late stages of the season. There should be some clarity on his status and outlook heading into spring training at some point in the early stages of the offseason.

Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in a loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday in Game 4 of the ALDS.
Judge also drew a walk. It’s a disappointing end to the season for the likely MVP, but the Yankees’ dismissal had little — if anything — to do with his play. He finished the postseason with a slash of .500/.581/.682 over his seven games while hitting one homer and driving in seven runs. Judge should be one of the first outfielders off the board come 2026, and remains as consistent an offensive threat as there is in baseball.

Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI, leading the Yankees to a critical 9-6 win over the Blue Jays in Game 3 of the ALDS.
Judge finally delivered the kind of signature postseason moment every superstar is supposed to have when he connected for a game-tying homer off Blue Jays reliever Louis Varland in the fourth after scalding an RBI double the inning before. The 32-year-old generational talent’s first homer of the postseason ignited a comeback win and kept New York’s playoff hopes alive after dropping the first two games of the best-of-five series. The division rivals will square off in Game 4 on Wednesday evening at Yankee Stadium. It’ll be rookie Cam Schlittler taking the ball for the Pinstripes with Toronto likely rolling with a bullpen game.

Aaron Judge is in right field and batting second for Sunday’s Game 2 showdown against the Blue Jays.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone will not make any changes with New York facing Blue Jays rookie sensation Trey Yesavage following a lopsided series-opening defeat earlier this weekend. Here’s the full lineup: Trent Grisham (CF), Judge (RF), Cody Bellinger (LF), Ben Rice (1B), Giancarlo Stanton (DH), Jazz Chisholm Jr. (3B), Ryan McMahon (3B), Anthony Volpe (SS) and Austin Wells (C).
