Angels re-signed RHP Adam Cimber to a minor league contract.
The 33-year-old right-hander was released by the Angels in late July after he passed through waivers unclaimed. After exploring the free agent market for a couple of weeks though, Cimber decided that his best opportunity was to remain with the Angels, even on a minor league pact. He’ll report to Triple-A Salt Lake until another opportunity opens in the Halos’ bullpen.

    Angels released RHP Adam Cimber.
Cimber has been officially cut loose by Los Angeles after no team was willing to pick up the remaining portion of his $1.65 million salary. The 33-year-old right-hander posted a calamitous 7.03 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 19/14 K/BB ratio across 24 1/3 innings (28 appearances) this season in his Angels debut.

Angels designated RHP Adam Cimber for assignment.
Cimber had been on the IL since June 15 with shoulder inflammation, so he won’t get a chance to see if he can bounce back from a start that saw him post a 7.03 ERA in 28 appearances, at least not with the Angels.

Angels signed RHP Adam Cimber to a one-year, $1.65 million contract.
The deal, which was agreed to last week during the Winter Meetings, is now official. Cimber heads to Los Angeles as a quality middle relief option for the Halos on the heels of an injury-marred 2023 campaign with the Blue Jays. The 33-year-old sidewinder has been a durable reliever the past few seasons and figures to provide the Angels with some stability moving forward, if he’s healthy entering spring training.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports the Angels are in agreement with free agent right-hander Adam Cimber on a one-year, $1.65 million contract.
Cimber provides the Angels with another experienced high-leverage option along with recent free agent acquisition Luis García and closer Carlos Estevez. The 33-year-old side-winding righty was non-tendered last month by the Blue Jays after an injury-marred 2023 campaign. However, he was a durable and effective workhorse reliever the previous two seasons between the Marlins and Blue Jays.

The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya reports the Angels are in talks with free agent right-hander Adam Cimber.
Nothing official yet, but Cimber figures to land somewhere on a big league deal after being non-tendered last month by the Blue Jays on the heels of an injury-marred 2023 campaign.

Blue Jays non-tendered RHP Adam Cimber.
Cimber has been a mainstay in Toronto’s bullpen over the last three seasons, but was limited to just 22 appearances this past season due to injury. The 33-year-old righty holds a solid 3.49 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 225/74 K/BB ratio across 299 1/3 innings (323 appearances) in the big leagues since 2018. He should be able to find another opportunity this offseason in short order.

Adam Cimber (shoulder) allowed a solo homer in a minor league rehab appearance with Triple-A Buffalo.
It was Cimber’s first minor league rehab game since landing on the injured list in late June with a right shoulder impingement. He will likely need another rehab appearance or two before he is ready to join the Blue Jays bullpen later this month.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Cimber will require a couple additional rehab outings before he’s ready to return. The 33-year-old reliever has been out since late June with a right shoulder impingement.
