Brewers 1B/3B prospect Andrew Fischer went 2-for-4 with a grand slam on Wednesday for High-A Wisconsin.
Fischer remains a hyperspace jump or two away from the big leagues, but he’s making some early-season noise in the lower minors already. The 21-year-old slugging prospect belted his first round-tripper of the season after going deep 25 times during his final collegiate season at Tennessee last spring. If he’s able to control the strike zone in the upper minors, he could arrive in Milwaukee as a legitimate middle-of-the-order power bat as early as 2027.

Andrew Fischer went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI as Team Italy defeated Great Britain 7-4 on Sunday.
Fischer, the Brewers’ first-round pick last year, didn’t play in Italy’s opener against Brazil, but he thrived today. Great Britain took a two-run lead in the first after Nate Eaton double and a Jazz Chisholm Jr. single before back-to-back homers from Fischer and J.J. D’Orazio tied it in the third. Fischer then gave Italy the lead with an RBI single in the fourth. Great Britain tried to make a game of it late, scoring twice in the eighth to make it 7-4 and loading the bases in the ninth, but Greg Weissert was able to pitch out of the jam and pick up the save.

Andrew Fischer hit a solo homer in a loss to the Reds on Sunday in a Cactus League skirmish.
Fischer has his first homer of the spring. The 21-year-old was the 20th pick of the 2025 draft out of Tennessee last summer, and his power gives him a chance to be a quick advance to the majors. A 2027 ETA is more realistic than 2026.

Brewers signed first-round pick 3B Andrew Fischer.
Fischer gets $3.5 million, which is a decent amount under the $4.268 million allocated bonus amount for the 20th pick. The former Tennessee infielder has big-time power in his bat, but there are some questions as to whether he can play third base. If he does make the move across the diamond, the power and solid approach give him a chance to still be a fantasy option in the coming seasons.

Brewers selected Tennessee 3B Andrew Fischer with the No. 20 selection of the 2025 MLB Draft.
Fischer has some of the best batted-ball data in the class, and he offers big-time power in his left-handed bat. The question is whether not he’s going to be able to stick at third base, as most believe that his lack of athleticism make him more likely to play first. The bat can play there, but there’s more risk in his profile at that not-so-hot corner. Milwaukee will give him every chance to stay on the left side of the infield, and if he can, there’s a lot to like.
