McInvale

McInvale, 26, was released by the Marlins last week after giving up nine runs in his first 10 innings for Double-A Pensacola. A hard-thrower with control issues, he’d have to take a big step forward to become a candidate for a major league bullpen.

McInvale was a 37th round pick in 2019 and struggled during his first stint in pro ball, but he’s posted a 2.55 ERA and 34/14 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 relief innings this year between High-A and Double-A. He’s a hard-thrower, but has some work to do on the control front.
