Jake Bauers is in left field and batting eighth for Tuesday’s NLCS Game 2 matchup against the Dodgers.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy is going to shake things up when they face Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto after his club was limited to just one run on two hits by Dodgers starter Blake Snell in Monday’s series opener. Bauers came off the bench to deliver a ground-rule double in the ninth inning against high-leverage reliever Roki Sasaki and will draw his second start of the postseason in this one. Here’s the full lineup: Jackson Chourio (RF), Brice Turang (2B), William Contreras (C), Christian Yelich (DH), Andrew Vaughn (1B), Sal Frelick (CF), Caleb Durbin (3B), Bauers (LF) and Joey Ortiz (SS).
  • MIL Center Fielder #11
Jackson Chourio is leading off Monday’s NLCS Game 1 showdown against the Dodgers.
Chourio gets the nod in the leadoff spot over veteran Christian Yelich as Milwaukee’s top-of-the-order table-setter to face Dodgers lefty ace Blake Snell to kick off the extended best-of-seven series at American Family Field. The 21-year-old franchise cornerstone told reporters his right hamstring is feeling close to full strength again after aggravating the issue during last week’s NLDS opener against the Cubs. Here’s the full lineup: Chourio (RF), Christian Yelich (DH), William Contreras (C), Brice Turang (2B), Andrew Vaughn (1B), Sal Frelick (CF), Caleb Durbin (3B), Isaac Collins (LF) and Joey Ortiz (SS).
  • MIL Center Fielder #11
Jackson Chourio (hamstring) is in left field and batting second in Thursday’s Game 4 showdown against the Cubs.
Chourio remains in Milwaukee’s lineup for Thursday night’s potential series-clinching contest at Wrigley Field despite battling a lingering right hamstring issue that hasn’t adversely impacted his availability throughout the best-of-five series. Blake Perkins is back in center field over Brandon Lockridge with Andrew Vaughn at first base over Jake Bauers to face Cubs veteran lefty Matthew Boyd: Here’s the full lineup: Christian Yelich (DH), Chourio (LF), William Contreras (C), Brice Turang (2B), Vaughn (1B), Caleb Durbin (3B), Sal Frelick (RF), Perkins (CF) and Joey Ortiz (SS).
  • MIL Catcher #24
William Contreras (hand) is in the lineup for Saturday’s NLDS Game 1 matchup against the Cubs.
Contreras is good to go after missing a handful of games at the conclusion of the regular season with a lingering left hand issue. The other notable development for Milwaukee is manager Pat Murphy sticking with lefties Brice Turang and Christian Yelich near the top of the order with southpaw Matthew Boyd taking the ball for Chicago in this one. Here’s the full lineup: Jackson Chourio (LF), Turang (2B), Contreras (C), Yelich (DH), Andrew Vaughn (1B), Sal Frelick (RF), Caleb Durbin (3B), Blake Perkins (CF) and Joey Ortiz (SS).
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #32
Jacob Misiorowski is officially on the Brewers’ NLDS roster.
Misiorowski’s role heading into the postseason remains a bit unclear following his late-season struggles. However, the hard-throwing 23-year-old and fellow former top prospect Robert Gasser are expected to factor greatly into Milwaukee’s pitching plans with veteran Brandon Woodruff (lat) out of the mix. Jose Quintana, Quinn Priester and Chad Patrick are also on the roster as starting options in the best-of-five series against the division-rival Cubs. The other notable development is Andrew Vaughn getting the nod with Rhys Hoskins being left off the roster entirely.
  • MIL 1st Baseman #12
Brewers activated 1B Rhys Hoskins from the 10-day injured list.
Hoskins returns to Milwaukee’s lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Rangers following a two-month absence recovering from a left thumb sprain. The 32-year-old power-hitter has supplied 12 round-trippers in 82 games this season. The interesting wrinkle here is that the Brewers are holding onto Andrew Vaughn as a bench bat instead of sending him packing.
  • MIL 1st Baseman #12
Rhys Hoskins (thumb) has rejoined the Brewers ahead of Monday’s series opener against the Rangers.
The expectation is that Hoskins will be activated for Tuesday’s game in Texas, according to MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy. The 32-year-old run-producing first baseman has been on the shelf since early July recovering from a left thumb sprain. His return likely spells the end of the rollercoaster Andrew Vaughn era at the cold corner in Milwaukee.

Andrew Vaughn went 4-for-5 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Pirates on Sunday.
Vaughn’s RBI single in the first inning put the Brewers up 3-0 and he scored in the third inning to make it 7-0. The 27-year-old first baseman has three games with at least three hits in his last seven games. He’s hitting .248 with a .705 OPS and 60 RBI this year.

Andrew Vaughn went 3-for-4 with a double as the Brewers were shut out by Ranger Suarez and the Phillies on Thursday afternoon.
The 27-year-old slugger gave the Brewers their best shot at scoring in the game — smacking a one-out double off of Suarez after William Contreras had walked to open the sixth inning. The next three hitters were unable to cash either of those runs in though. With his three-hit attack, Vaughn is now slashing .296/.361/.497 with nine homers and 40 RBI in just 192 plate appearances since joining the Brewers.

Andrew Vaughn went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI against the Blue Jays on Friday.
Vaughn cooled off from his hot streak to the point where the Brewers moved him out of the cleanup spot in the lineup. The 27-year-old first baseman was back hitting fourth on Friday and wound up with a three-hit game and two RBI. Vaughn is hitting .240 with a .694 OPS and 59 RBI on the year.
