Angels claimed LHP Ashur Tolliver off of waivers from the Orioles; optioned him to Double-A Arkansas.
The 28-year-old southpaw was designated for assignment by the O’s when they acquired Kyle Lobstein last week. Given the fact that he’s on the 40-man roster and the Angels have been ravaged by injuries in the bullpen, Tolliver should find himself a role with the big league club soon.

Orioles designated LHP Ashur Tolliver for assignment.
The move clears a 40-man roster spot for left-hander Kyle Lobstein, who was acquired from the Pirates on Wednesday afternoon. Tolliver has allowed four runs -- three earned -- over 4 2/3 innings this year in the majors. He’ll turn 29 years old in January.

Orioles optioned LHP Ashur Tolliver to Triple-A Norfolk.
Tolliver was sent down to make room for T.J. McFarland on the active roster. The 28-year-old southpaw had allowed four runs in four innings during his brief time with the O’s earlier this season. This will actually be the first time Tolliver has pitched at Triple-A -- the O’s initially called him up from Double-A Bowie, skipping him over a level.

Orioles purchased the contract of LHP Ashur Tolliver from Double-A Bowie.
He will be taking over for lefty reliever Brian Matusz, who was traded to the Braves on Monday. Tolliver had a cool 2.42 ERA and 25/8 K/BB ratio through 26 innings this season at the Double-A level.

The Orioles are expected to call up left-hander Ashur Tolliver from Double-A Bowie.
He’ll take Brian Matusz’s spot in Baltimore’s bullpen. The 28-year-old was a fifth round pick of the Orioles back in 2009 and owns a 3.12 ERA with 8.6 K/9 and 3.1 BB/9 over seven seasons in the minors. He owns a 2.42 ERA and 25/8 K/BB ratio over 26 innings in Double-A this season.

Orioles recalled LHP Ashur Tolliver from Triple-A Norfolk.
Tolliver allowed four runs (three earned) in four innings during a short stay with the Orioles earlier this season. He’ll probably pitch in low-leverage situations.

Astros claimed LHP Ashur Tolliver off waivers from the Angels.
Tolliver had a cup of coffee with the Orioles in 2016, but it didn’t go well and he was designated for assignment in late August. He spent the majority of the season in the minors, posting a 2.23 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings between four different levels. It might be a sneaky-good pickup for Houston.

Astros optioned LHPs Ashur Tolliver and Reymin Guduan, and RHP Brady Rodgers to minor league camp; reassigned OF Andrew Aplin to minor league camp.
Nothing surprising about this round of cuts. Tolliver was claimed off waivers from the Angels back in December. The 29-year-old southpaw appeared in five games with the Orioles in 2016 and posted a 2.23 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 44 1/3 innings in the minors. He could surface in Houston’s bullpen at some point this year.

Astros recalled LHP Ashur Tolliver from Triple-A Fresno.
The 29-year-old southpaw is taking the place of Dallas Keuchel on the active roster, meaning it’s likely that Brad Peacock will start in his place on Monday. Tolliver owns a 2.70 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 12/10 K/BB ratio in 13 1/3 innings at Triple-A this season.

Mariners signed LHP Ashur Tolliver to a minor league contract.
The 29-year-old left-hander was released by the Astros earlier in the week. He has spent the majority of the season at Triple-A Fresno where he registered a troublesome 7.13 ERA, 2.04 WHIP and 28/33 K/BB ratio over 35 1/3 innings.
