Brady Singer allowed one earned run over four innings while striking out six in Friday’s loss to the Cardinals.
Things couldn’t have started much worse for Singer, who saw two runners come across to score in the first inning on a fielding error and later, a wild pitch. After getting through the second inning without any issues, Singer would allow a solo homer to Alec Burleson in the third inning for what would be his only earned run allowed on the night. Singer struggled with his command at times despite hurling six strikeouts, and he hasn’t picked up a win since April. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday on the road against the Padres.

Brady Singer took a loss to the Braves after giving up three runs in five innings on Saturday.
Singer gave up homers to Ronald Acuña Jr. and Jorge Mateo, walked four and finished with only two strikeouts. He’s 2-5 with a 6.18 ERA, and it’s worth wondering if he might lose his spot if Rhett Lowder can come back in a couple of weeks. Singler will miss his old friends the Royals in the three-game series that starts Monday. Unless things get shuffled around after Thursday’s off day, he’d be slated to start Friday against the Cardinals.

Sunday’s scheduled contest between the Cardinals and Reds in Cincinnati was postponed due to inclement weather.
The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on August 17. Expect Sunday’s scheduled starters, Brady Singer and Brycen Mautz, to be pushed back to Monday for their respective ballclubs.

Brady Singer fell to 2-4 on Sunday in Cleveland, serving up three homers as part of a five-run afternoon that lasted four innings.
Singer surrendered homers to Chase DeLauter, Kyle Manzardo, and Brayan Rocchio as part of a seven-hit day. He punched out six while walking just one, but the outing raised his ERA to 6.26 this season. He projects for a home start against the Cardinals next time out.

Brady Singer allowed three runs in 3 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Nationals on Tuesday.
Singer gave up six hits, walked one and struck out two. He fell to 2-3 with the loss and has a 5.79 ERA on the season. If you were looking to Singer to fill-in off the waiver wire this season, he hasn’t come through. Singer was out of gas, removed in the fourth inning after 75 pitches. He’s lined up to face the Guardians on the road on Sunday.

Brady Singer allowed six hits and four runs with one walk and six strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Wednesday.
Overall, Singer pitched well here. He just made a few crucial mistakes. Like a 3-1 cutter that sat in the heart of the plate which Ian Happ launched for a two-run homer. Or a hanging slider in the fourth that Seiya Suzuki hammered for a run-scoring double. Nevertheless, he navigated out of trouble in the fourth inning and completed six innings for the third time in his last five starts. He’s scheduled to face the Nationals and Guardians coming up in a two-start week.

Brady Singer allowed seven hits and four runs with two walks and one strikeout across 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Pirates on Friday.
It was clear almost right away that Singer did not have his best in this one. Brandon Lowe smoked a 110 mph line drive as the second batter of the game before Bryan Reynolds launched a 443 home run deep into the night sky. From there, the Pirates rallied for two runs in the third inning and after another long home run by Henry Davis and hot-shot double by Oneil Cruz, Terry Francona wisely pulled the plug on Singer. He genuinely had nothing working and will want to put this start behind him as soon as possible. However, things will not get easier with a matchup against the Cubs coming next.

Brady Singer worked 5 1/3 innings of two-run baseball to pick up a win over the Tigers on Saturday.
Singer gave up eight hits, but amazingly both runs were allowed on solo homers. Baseball is weird. The right-hander struck out three while generating a serviceable 13 swings and misses on 94 pitches. It’s far from dominant, but effective enough. Singer will attempt to keep lowering his 4.97 ERA when he faces the Pirates on Friday.

Brady Singer recorded a quality start Sunday, yielding three runs in six innings against the Twins.
Singer allowed five hits, walked four and struck out two before leaving down 3-1, so it was a particularly weak quality start. Still, the Reds came back and won in 10 innings. Singer has a 5.32 ERA and a 16/7 K/BB in 23 2/3 innings over five starts. With his velocity down some from last year and his strikeout rate standing at 14.5 percent, he seems like a weak bet right now. He’ll face the Tigers next.

Brady Singer gave up one run over six innings on Tuesday in a win over the Giants.
Singer gave up six hits with a fifth-inning solo shot by Willy Adames representing the lone tally against him in this one. It goes into the books as a quality start, but he notched only one strikeout in the 75-pitch outing. The 29-year-old righty will carry a lackluster 5.60 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 14/3 K/BB ratio across 17 2/3 innings into a road tilt against the Twins on Sunday.
