Brandon Nimmo is back in the Rangers lineup as a DH for Sunday Night Baseball against the Tigers.
Nimmo missed Saturday’s game with a nagging hamstring injury. Since he’s DHing, that means Joc Pederson is out of the lineup tonight. Andrew McCutchen is starting in the outfield for the third time this season.

Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Saturday’s contest against the Tigers.
Evan Carter takes over in center field and will occupy the leadoff spot in his absence. No surprise here after Nimmo made an early exit from Friday’s series opener with right hamstring tightness. The 33-year-old reaggravated the existing issue, which first cropped up earlier this week during Wednesday’s game against the Yankees. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Brandon Nimmo was removed from Friday night’s battle against the Tigers in the fourth inning after aggravating his right hamstring injury.
Nimmo had been 2-for-2 with a walk and a pair of runs scored in the contest, but he felt his hamstring pull at him again after singling in the fourth inning and was lifted for a pinch-runner. While he continues to say it’s a manageable injury, perhaps the Rangers would be better served with a short stint on the injured list to make sure that he gets right.

Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) returned to the Rangers’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Tigers.
Nimmo was pulled from Wednesday’s game against the Yankees due to minor right hamstring tightness. He feels much better after an off-day though and will return to his regular post in right field. He’ll bat leadoff against Tigers’ right-hander Jack Flaherty on Friday evening in Motown.

Brandon Nimmo (hamstring) told reporters he anticipates being ready for Friday’s series opener against the Tigers.
Nimmo downplayed concern after making an early exit from Wednesday afternoon’s series finale against the Yankees with right hamstring tightness. It’s hardly a guarantee, but it certainly sounds like neither the Rangers or Nimmo anticipate him missing any additional time. Fantasy managers should check back in before first pitch on Friday evening.

Brandon Nimmo was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Yankees with right hamstring tightness.
Nimmo will undergo further evaluation, and likely imaging as well, to determine the severity of the issue. The 33-year-old top-of-the-order table-setter was 1-for-2 with a walk before being lifted for a pinch-runner in the fifth inning. There should be an update on his status prior to Friday’s series opener against the Tigers.

Brandon Nimmo homered twice while driving in three runs, but the Rangers fell to the Dodgers on Saturday.
He also doubled. Nimmo got things started for the Rangers with a leadoff homer off Emmet Sheehan, and Nimmo got Sheehan again for a two-run shot in the sixth. That’s now three homers for Nimmo to open 2026, and he’s slashing a sensational .364/.435/.618 after the three-hit night.

Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 and hit a two-run homer versus the Phillies on Sunday.
Nimmo’s homer was a two-run shot off Jesús Luzardo. That would seem to be a tough matchup for Nimmo, but he’s gone 7-for-23 with two homers against his former NL East rival in his career. Nimmo finishes the first series of the year 4-for-12 with a steal and three runs scored.

Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Monday, lifting the Rangers to a 3-2 win over the Royals.
Nimmo took Royals starter Michael Wacha deep to right field in the third inning for his third round-tripper of the spring. The 32-year-old outfielder has eclipsed the 20-homer mark in three straight seasons and will occupy the leadoff spot for a new-look Rangers offense that will feature Wyatt Langford and Corey Seager in the heart of the order.

Brandon Nimmo went 4-for-4 with two homers, a double, a walk and five runs scored as a Rangers split-squad destroyed the Padres 22-2 on Saturday.
The Rangers scored 13 runs in the third, making it an 18-2 game at that point. Nimmo was 3-for-14 with no homers this spring before the ridiculous showing today. He hit the ball hard every time up, and the homers were projected at 410 and 422 feet.
