Brooks Baldwin went 2-for-4 with a homer, double and three RBI on Sunday afternoon, propelling the White Sox to an 8-0 victory over the Nationals in their season finale.
Baldwin clobbered a 423-foot (107.4 mph EV) solo shot off of Brad Lord in the fourth inning that extended the White Sox’ lead to 3-0. He then added on with a two-run double in the fifth that made it 7-0. The 25-year-old infielder finishes the 2025 season slashing .240/.290/.407 with 11 homers and 38 RBI in 328 plate appearances with the White Sox.
  • CWS Right Fielder #18
Mike Tauchman and Michael A. Taylor are both on the bench for a second straight game Tuesday against the Yankees.
Tauchman has been a mainstay against right-handers all year long and Taylor was playing most of the time with Luis Robert Jr. on the shelf, but it seems the White Sox have decided to take a look at younger players this last week of the season. They have Brooks Baldwin in center and Dominic Fletcher in right tonight. Notably, the prioritizing of younger players isn’t doing Curtis Mead any good; he’s started just one of the last six games.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
White Sox activated INF/OF Brooks Baldwin from the 10-day injured list.
Baldwin rejoins Chicago’s bench mix following a minimum stint on the injured list with a lower back strain. The 24-year-old rookie infielder holds a pedestrian .628 OPS with four homers and three steals in 54 games.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
White Sox placed INF/OF Brooks Baldwin on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain.
Baldwin cannot catch a break. He has crushed Triple-A pitching this season and waited a long time to get another shot against MLB pitchers. He was recalled last Tuesday and will now head to the IL after only a week on the big league roster. It remains to be seen if he will return to the MLB or Triple-A roster when he is healthy again.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
Brooks Baldwin was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup with lower back tightness.
Austin Slater will take over in left field on Tuesday night against the Blue Jays. Baldwin is presumably day-to-day for now. It doesn’t sound like a significant concern.
  • CWS Center Fielder #88
White Sox activated OF Luis Robert Jr. from the 10-day injured list.
Tristan Gray was demoted to make room. Robert missed just less than two weeks with his hamstring strain, and now he has a bit more than two weeks to catch the eye of contenders before a seemingly inevitable trade later this month. At least for a little while, Michael A. Taylor should receive less playing time with Robert back. Brooks Baldwin has been starting in center of late, but he should continue to play pretty regularly in a super-utility role.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
Brooks Baldwin hit a two-run homer in a loss to the White Sox on Thursday.
Baldwin got the White Sox on the board with a two-run homer off Dustin May, but it came in the eighth inning with the White Sox trailing by six runs. Still counts. Baldwin has gone deep four times in 2025, and offers zero redraft value.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
White Sox recalled INF/OF Brooks Baldwin from Triple-A Charlotte.
Baldwin gets the nod to rejoin Chicago’s bench mix in the wake of Luis Robert Jr. hitting the injured list over the weekend. The 24-year-old’s defensive versatility gives him some appeal in a bench role at the highest level, but he’s posted a pedestrian .571 OPS with five homers and six steals in 80 games at the highest level over the last two seasons.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
Brooks Baldwin went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run for Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
Baldwin now has 11 home runs, 22 RBI and a 1.207 OPS in Triple-A. There really isn’t much of a reason for the White Sox not to see what he can do with regular MLB playing time.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #27
Brooks Baldwin went 2-for-5 with a solo home run for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.
Baldwin is now up to 10 home runs in the minors with a .375 average and a 1.225 OPS. He deserves another shot to be a regular in the White Sox lineup.
