White Sox optioned 3B Bryan Ramos to Triple-A Charlotte.
Ramos has been shipped back to the minors to make room for corner infielder Miguel Vargas to return from the injured list for Wednesday’s game against the Rays.

Lenyn Sosa is not in the White Sox’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Tigers in Motown.
It appears to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 25-year-old slugger. Curtis Mead will cover first base in his absence on Friday evening while Bryan Ramos will draw a start at third base and bat eighth for the White Sox against Tigers’ right-hander Jack Flaherty.

White Sox recalled 3B Bryan Ramos from Triple-A Charlotte.
Ramos, who appeared in 32 games for the White Sox last year, will be making his 2025 debut after hitting .218/.317/.391 with 14 homers in 392 plate appearances for Charlotte. His stock has definitely declined some the last two years, and while he’s still just 23 and young enough to rebound, it’s hard to project him as the White Sox’s third baseman of the future at this point. He’ll probably share time with Curtis Mead for now, and he might be sent back down if Miguel Vargas comes back this month.

White Sox activated INF Bryan Ramos from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte.
Ramos had been shelved since the end of spring training due to a right elbow strain. He’s now fully recovered and will return to an everyday role at the Triple-A level until the White Sox decide to give him another opportunity.

White Sox placed INF Bryan Ramos on the 10-day injured list with a right elbow strain.
Ramos had lost the starting third base job to Miguel Vargas, but had a chance to claim the second base or designated hitter job before suffering the injury. There is currently no set timeline for his return.

Bryan Ramos has started hitting and fielding again while dealing with soreness in his right elbow.
Ramos has a chance of making the White Sox as their starting third baseman, pushing Josh Rojas to second, but it seems like a long shot. Ideally, he’ll take a nice step forward after hitting .242/.320/.387 in 88 games in the minors and .202/.252/.333 in 32 games in the majors last season.

MLB.com’s Scott Merkin believes Chase Meidroth will make the White Sox opening day roster.
In his season prediction article, Merkin mentioned that it’s possible Meidroth could force his way into the starting lineup at either second base or third base, pushing Josh Rojas to the other spot and forcing either Miguel Vargas or Bryan Ramon into the designated hitter role. However, Merkin also suggests that, if Meidroth can’t force his way into the lineup, he could be “considered someone who could play three or four times per week.” Given that the 23-year-old posted a .437 on-base percentage, .293 average, and .837 OPS over 93 games at Triple-A last year, he could be a sneaky late pick in deeper formats if he were to earn a full-time job.

Bryan Ramos went 1-for-3 with a solo homer against the Tigers on Saturday.
Ramos put the White Sox on the board in the second inning with a solo homer off Beau Brieske for his only hit of the game. The 22-year-old third baseman has hit .189/.235/.326 with three homers and nine RBI across 103 plate appearances.

Bryan Ramos is on the White Sox bench in a second straight game Tuesday against the Angels.
There’s no room for Yoán Moncada because Ramos needs to play, but there’s also no room for Ramos, it seems. This is the fourth time in six games that he’s been held out. There has been room for Gavin Sheets in five of those games, though.

Bryan Ramos hit a two-run homer in a loss for the White Sox on Monday to the Guardians.
Ramos has his first MLB homer of his career, and it came in the eighth inning off Nick Sandlin with a runner on. The 22-year-old is considered one of the best prospects in the Chicago system, and while he’s still only hitting .204/.216/.306, that’s only over 49 at-bats. Ramos shouldn’t be rostered, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on how he plays as a potential sleeper for 2025.
