Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer expects the Indians to invite prospect right-hander Chen-Chang Lee to spring training.
Lee, 25, was named the Indians’ minor league pitcher of the year after posting a 2.40 ERA and 99/23 K/BB ratio over 71 1/3 innings this season between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus. The Taiwan native could contend for a spot in the big-league bullpen.

Indians pitching prospect Chen-Chang Lee will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery.
Lee has been out since mid-April with elbow issues, and doctors have decided that he won’t recover without surgery. The relief prospect will now be sidelined well into 2013.

Indians purchased the contract of RHP Chen-Chang Lee from Triple-A Columbus.
Lee missed most of 2012 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he’s flashed plenty of promise in the past. The 26-year-old should be fully recovered around midseason in 2013 but probably won’t be big league-ready until 2014.

Indians recalled RHPs C.C. Lee and Josh Tomlin from Triple-A Columbus.
Lee tossed two scoreless innings over three appearances during a brief stint with the Indians in July. Tomlin underwent Tommy John surgery last August and fulfilled his goal of returning to the majors in 2013. Both will be used as bullpen reinforcements for the next four weeks.

Rockies signed RHP C.C. Lee to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Lee, 30, spent last season in Japan, holding a 6.48 ERA over 18 appearances. He’s struggled in his chances in the majors to this point but will be given an opportunity to win a bullpen job.

Rockies reassigned RHP C.C. Lee, OF Noel Cuevas, and OF Mike Tauchman to minor league camp.
Lee signed a non-guaranteed minor league contract with Colorado in December after spending the 2016 season in Japan. He owns a 4.50 career ERA and 1.59 career WHIP in 34 career major league innings.

Indians optioned RHP C.C. Lee to Triple-A Columbus.
Lee becomes the odd-man out in the Indians bullpen with the return of Scott Atchison. He appeared in just one game with the Tribe, allowing a run on two hits in 2/3 of an inning.

Indians recalled C.C. Lee from Triple-A Columbus.
Lee gives the Indians a fresh bullpen arm. The 28-year-old right-hander had registered a 2.35 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 29/6 K/BB ratio through 23 innings this season at Triple-A and should do well in middle relief.

Indians optioned RHP C.C. Lee to Triple-A Columbus.
Lee walked five batters and yielded four hits in six innings this spring. He’s organizational relief depth.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #20
Indians optioned RHP C.C. Lee to Triple-A Columbus.
The 27-year-old appeared in 13 games for the Tribe, posting a 4.76 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 11/3 K/BB ratio over 11 1/3 innings. He’ll continue to serve as bullpen depth and should get another opportunity with the big league club at some point during the season.
