Bonemer is now 4-for-9 with two doubles, four RBI, and a 2/1 K/BB ratio in two AFL games. The 21-year-old was at DH this game after starting the first game in center field. The White Sox want him to get experience in the outfield this fall, but with Colson Montgomery’s contact issues, we wouldn’t rule out Bonemer just remaining at shortstop for the long term.

Bonemer capped off a multi-hit performance in his fall circuit debut by smashing a three-run double in the ninth inning of this one. The 20-year-old infielder, who played just nine late-season contests in center field after spending most of the year at shortstop and third base, is getting some additional reps in the outfield this fall in an effort to expand his avenues to at-bats on Chicago’s rapidly-improving core. He’s coming off a phenomenal minor-league campaign where he hit .251/.380/.551 with 37 home runs and 17 steals in 595 plate appearances between High-A Winston-Salem and Double-A Birmingham. He’s a top-20 range fantasy prospect heading into next spring.

Bonemer has played shortstop and third base exclusively at the outset of his professional career, but the White Sox want to expose him to the outfield to add some defensive versatility to his toolbelt and give him additional avenues to at-bats at the highest level. The 20-year-old top prospect has put together an outstanding season, hitting .249/.381/.556 with 33 home runs and 16 steals between Double-A Birmingham and High-A Winston-Salem this season. It’s an interesting wrinkle to monitor as Bonemer heads to the Arizona Fall League in a couple weeks.

Preliminary tests failed to detect a concussion, so that’s good news. The 20-year-old Bonemer, arguably the White Sox’s top prospect. He entered tonight with a .277/.376/.495 line in 27 games since moving up to Double-A.

Bonemer launched his minor-league leading 13th round-tripper of the season in this one just a couple days after taking Yankees ace Gerrit Cole deep during his latest rehab outing. The 20-year-old top prospect is rapidly evolving into one of the top prospects in the fantasy landscape with six big flies in his last 10 games. He’s slashing a sublime .282/.429/.718 with 13 homers and two steals in 30 games.

It’s not hyperbolic to suggest that Bonemer is already a top-10 fantasy prospect from a dynasty standpoint as he’s slashing a robust .275/.378/.696 with 15 extra-base hits and one steal through 18 games this season. The 20-year-old’s ability to generate consistent hard contact, without sacrificing anything from a plate skills perspective, puts him on a trajectory to finish the year in the upper minors as one of the top prospects in baseball.

Bonemer has gone deep four times in his last six games and continues to look like an upper-echelon fantasy prospect. The 20-year-old hit .281/.400/.458 with 10 homers and 27 steals for Low-A Kannapolis before going deep twice in 11 games at High-A Winston-Salem to close out his professional debut last season. He’s picked up right where he left off, batting .333 (14-for-42) with four homers and 14 RBI in 11 contests this season. Bonemer figures to earn a promotion to Double-A at some point in the near future.
