Carlos Rodón allowed just one earned run in six innings against the Guardians on Thursday, striking out seven.
Only two batters actually notched a hit against Rodón, including an RBI single off the bat of Stuart Fairchild in the fourth inning. Rodon got whiffs on 38 percent of swings against him, with his velocity playing close to a mile per hour up from his seasonal average. An unfortunate no-decision here, but Rodón should be started with confidence against the Guardians in a run-it-back start next week.

Carlos Rodón gave up just a run over six innings while picking up a win over the Athletics on Friday.
It’s the first win of the season for Rodón. The southpaw’s only run allowed came in the first inning on a solo homer by Nick Kurtz. Rodón was far from dominant after with just three strikeouts, but he was able to keep the A’s from doing damage in the Triple-A park, and lowered his ERA to 3.32 in the process. So far Rodón has looked the part since coming off the injured list, and he’ll look to keep it going against the Guardians on Thursday.

Carlos Rodón pitched well in a tough luck loss against the Blue Jays on Thursday, allowing just one run on three hits over five innings.
The 33-year-old southpaw punched out seven batters on the evening while issuing three free passes. The lone tally against him came in the opening inning as Daulton Varsho doubled home Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Unfortunately, the Yankees couldn’t scratch out a single run of support for him and Rodón ended up with a loss despite the strong effort. He piled up 18 swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night — nine on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 32 percent. He now sits at 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and a 17/11 K/BB ratio over 13 innings through his first three starts on the season. His next test will come on Tuesday against the Royals in Kansas City.

Carlos Rodón allowed three runs — two earned — over 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.
Rodón did strike out six despite seeing his fastball being down to 94.8 mph on average compared to the 95.7 he sported in his debut last weekend. The left-hander saw two runs score on a wild pitch — yes, two runs on the same wild pitch — and he walked three while throwing 55-of-88 pitches for strikes. Rodón’s stuff looked fine, but the command was a good ways off in this one. He’ll be back on the bump Thursday against the Blue Jays.

Carlos Rodón yielded three runs in 4 1/3 innings Sunday against the Brewers in his season debut.
All of the runs came in the fourth, an inning that started with two walks and a HBP. Rodón walked five batters in all. He had very good velocity — his fastball average of 95.7 mph was up 1.6 mph from his 2025 mark — so that’s quite encouraging for the future. It might be a couple of more outings before he’s truly ready to help fantasy leaguers, but he’ll get there.

Yankees activated LHP Carlos Rodón from the 15-day injured list.
The 33-year-old southpaw has finished up his rehab from offseason elbow surgery and is ready to make his highly anticipated season debut on Sunday against the Brewers. Rodón did surrender six runs in his final minor league rehab start, so fantasy managers may want to see him shake off the rust first before throwing him right back into lineups. He should wind up being a nice impact addition for those that were patient and held him since the start of the season.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Carlos Rodón (elbow) will likely make his season debut against the Brewers on Sunday.
Boone wouldn’t fully commit to it happening, but it sounds like Rodón will make his return to New York’s rotation after missing six weeks at the outset of the year working his way back from offseason elbow surgery. The 33-year-old southpaw allowed six runs and threw 83 pitches in his final minor league rehab start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday night. It’s worth noting that rookie starter Elmer Rodríguez was also shipped back to the minors on Tuesday evening, clearing a rotation spot.

Yankees optioned RHP Elmer Rodríguez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Rodríguez heads back to the minors to clear a rotation spot for Carlos Rodón (elbow) to return from the injured list this weekend. The Yankees will bring up some bullpen help until then. The 22-year-old pitching prospect walked four batters and allowed three runs over 4 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Rangers. He figures to get another shot in New York at some point later this summer.

Carlos Rodón (elbow) was charged with six runs — five earned — over 6 1/3 innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Rodón gave up seven hits, including a pair of home runs, and threw 83 pitches (49 strikes) in his likely final rehab outing. Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters earlier on Tuesday that the 33-year-old southpaw will make his next start in the majors if everything checks out fine afterwards from a physical standpoint. He’s in line to make his season debut against the Brewers on Sunday and should obviously be rostered in all fantasy formats.

Carlos Rodón (elbow) was terrific in a minor league rehab start at Double-A Somerset on Thursday, piling up eight strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings of one-run baseball.
The 33-year-old southpaw scattered five hits on the evening and did not walk a batter. He threw 75 pitches in the outing, 51 of those for strikes, while sitting 92-94 mph with his fastball and topping out at 95 mph. The expectation had been that Rodón would make one additional minor league rehab start before joining the Yankees’ rotation, though it’s possible his timeline gets pushed up given how dominant he was on Thursday.
