    Bassitt underwent imaging on his ailing back and it sounds like there’s a chance he doesn’t make his next start against the Mariners on Monday. He made an early exit from his previous start against the Red Sox with lower back tightness. There should be a final decision on his status at some point later this weekend.

    The veteran right-hander struck out two batters on the night while permitting only one base on balls. The lone tally against him came on a solo shot off the bat of Andrés Giménez in the third inning. Bassitt got just seven swings and misses on 80 pitches on the night, posting an uninspiring CSW of 23 percent. He’ll look to further improve upon his 5.06 ERA and 1.58 WHIP when he squares off against the Red Sox in Boston on Wednesday.

    Chris Bassitt picked up his fourth victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Tigers to three runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings of work.
    Bassitt struck out four batters in the ballgame and didn’t allow a base on balls. He worked behind an opener again in this one, as Keegan Akin gave up one run in the first inning and Bassitt started in the second. The Tigers scratched out one run against him in the third and two more in the fourth, but he settled in afterwards and kept them off the board the rest of the way, giving the O’s offense time to come back for him. The 37-year-old hurler got five whiffs on 58 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll bring a bloated 5.51 ERA and 1.67 WHIP into Wednesday’s matchup against the Rays.

    Bassitt tossed a scoreless first inning, then served up a three-run homer to Keibert Ruiz in the second. The Nats brought a fourth run in on a pair of doubles in the third. Bassitt followed with a clean fourth, then stranded the bases loaded in the fifth. That would do it for the 37-year-old right-hander, ending his day with a 5.44 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, and a 30/19 K/BB ratio across 43 innings. He’ll take on the Tigers in Baltimore on Friday.

    The 37-year-old hurler racked up six strikeouts on the day while allowing only one base on balls. He got into a major jam in the second inning as the A’s put runners on the corners with no outs, but Bassitt was able to wiggle out of it with just one run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Carlos Cortes. He got 14 whiffs on 94 offerings in the contest, posting a strong CSW of 32 percent. Now 3-2 on the season, he’ll look to further improve upon his 5.21 ERA and 1.74 WHIP when he does battle against the Nationals in Washington on Saturday.

    Bassitt struck out three and issued three walks. The 37-year-old veteran hurler has struggled to work deep into outings this season, pitching beyond the first inning just twice in seven starts. He’ll bring an inflated 5.91 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 20/17 K/BB ratio across 32 innings into a home outing against the Athletics on Sunday.
