Corey Seager is not in the Rangers’ starting lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Guardians.
Seager just returned from the injured list on Friday night, and with a southpaw toeing the slab for the Guardians on Sunday it felt like a good time to give him a breather and ease him back into full-time action. Ezequiel Duran will start in his place at shortstop and bat fifth for the Rangers against Joey Cantillo and the Guardians.

Corey Seager returned to the Rangers’ lineup with a bang on Friday night, blasting a go-ahead two-run homer that propelled his squad to a 3-2 victory over the Guardians.
After missing nearly three weeks due to inflammation in his back, Seager showed no signs of rust on Friday. Wyatt Langford with a double before Seager crushed a first-pitch slider for a 399-foot (105.1-mph EV) two-run blast that put the Rangers ahead to stay. With his 1-for-3 night, Seager is now slashing .182/.286/.371 with eight long balls and 22 RBI on the season.
