Padres recalled RHP David Morgan from Triple-A El Paso.
With Jeremiah Estrada (knee) landing on the injured list, Morgan will have another opportunity to show what he can do out of the Padres’ bullpen. He holds a 6.08 ERA, 2.10 WIHP and a 15/11 K/BB ratio over 13 1/3 innings with the big league club this season.

Padres optioned RHP David Morgan to Triple-A El Paso.
The 26-year-old hurler made 11 appearances during his time with the Padres, posting an unappealing 6.08 ERA, 2.10 WHIP and a 15/11 K/BB ratio across 13 1/3 innings of work. A corresponding move will be made on Friday, which is expected to be the activation from the injured list of either Jeremiah Estrada or Yuki Matsui to fill the empty spot in the Padres’ bullpen.

David Morgan earned his first victory of the season on Thursday night, recording five tough outs against the Rockies without allowing a run to score.
Morgan came on with a man on first base and one out in the 11th inning with the Padres trailing by a run. He retired both hitters he faced to escape that jam. The 26-year-old hurler then returned in the 12th after the Padres tied the game in their half of the 11th. After a sacrifice bunt from Jake McCarthy, he got Brenton Doyle to hit a ground ball to shortstop on which Willi Castro was cut down at the plate. He then hit Tyler Freeman before getting Kyle Karros on a ground ball to end the inning. He’s yet another weapon in an unbelievably deep and talented bullpen for the Padres.

Padres manager Craig Stammen said Monday that Mason Miller and Adrián Morejón will both remain in the bullpen next season.
The same goes for David Morgan. Of moving the relievers to the rotation, Stammen said: “It’s a risky proposition health-wise and performance-wise.” We’d say it still might be worth it in Miller’s case, especially given the Padres’ lack of rotation depth, but if they’re not going to do it, then Miller, who allowed just two runs and struck out 45 in 23 1/3 innings after being traded to San Diego at the deadline, has an argument for fantasy baseball’s No. 1 RP heading into the 2026.

Padres activated RHP David Morgan off the 15-day injured list.
Morgan missed just the minimum stint on the injured list while dealing with inflammation in his right shoulder. He’ll be a bullpen option and replace Ron Marinaccio on the active roster.

Padres placed RHP David Morgan on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to September 9, with right shoulder inflammation.
No word yet on the severity of the shoulder issue or how much time the 25-year-old right-hander is expected to miss. JP Sears was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move on Friday.

Padres recalled LHP Kyle Hart from Triple-A El Paso.
Hart will likely operate in a bulk relief role during Sunday’s showdown against the Twins behind opener David Morgan. The 32-year-old innings-eater has struggled to an inflated 5.29 ERA across 32 1/3 innings (nine appearances, six starts) this season in his stateside return.

David Morgan will open Sunday’s game against the Rangers.
Morgan will take the ball to kick off Sunday night’s contest at Petco Park with lefty Kyle Hart figuring to follow in a bulk relief role.

Padres recalled RHP David Morgan from Triple-A El Paso.
Morgan provides the Padres with some extra bullpen help until they need to call up a replacement for a Michael King’s rotation spot in a couple days. The 25-year-old righty was up briefly earlier this year, but didn’t end up making an appearance for San Diego. He’ll likely make his big-league debut at some point in the next few days.

Padres optioned RHP David Morgan to Triple-A El Paso.
Morgan heads back to the minors after failing to make an appearance for the Padres. The 25-year-old righty was called up last weekend from Double-A San Antonio, but is going to have to wait a bit longer to make his big-league debut.
