Davis Martin blanked the Cubs for four innings, allowing just one hit, as the White Sox prevailed 4-2 on Friday.
Martin struck out four and walked none while throwing just 39 pitches to get his 12 outs. A particularly bad spring might have cost Martin his spot in the White Sox rotation, but he’s been just fine in posting a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings.

Davis Martin didn’t give up a run in his three innings of work Saturday against the Mariners.
Martin came in after Grant Taylor hurled a scoreless first, and Martin was able to replicate that success over his three frames while striking out four against one walk. The 29-year-old doesn’t miss enough bats to be considered a fantasy regular, but there’s streaming potential here; particularly against the weaker lineups in the AL.

Davis Martin was charged with three runs over three innings on Monday against the Giants.
Martin struck out two and also handed out a pair of free passes. He’s penciled into one of the slots in Chicago’s rotation after logging a career-high 143 2/3 frames over 25 starts last year. The 29-year-old doesn’t offer enough strikeout upside to be impactful in shallow mixed leagues, but he could be useful in certain matchups against weaker AL Central lineups.

Davis Martin allowed three runs in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Yankees on Thursday.
Martin gave up six hits, walked two and struck out five. The 28-year-old right-hander unfortunately finished the season with one of his shorter outings. Martin established himself in the White Sox’ rotation in 2025, finishing with a 7-10 record, 4.10 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 104 strikeouts in 142 2/3 innings.

Davis Martin notched his seventh victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Padres to three runs on six hits over his six frames.
The 28-year-old hurler punched out four opposing hitters in the contest and allowed only one base on balls. The Padres pushed single runs across against him in the second, third and sixth innings, but could never get a big hit when they needed it to break the game open. Martin generated eight whiffs on 77 pitches on the night — five of them on his cutter — while registering a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll see if he can keep the good times rolling as he totes a 4.03 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and a 99/46 K/BB ratio (138 1/3 innings) into his final start of the season on Thursday against the Yankees in New York.

Davis Martin allowed two runs through five innings Saturday in a loss to the Guardians.
A 358-foot homer from C.J. Kayfus was responsible for the damage. Martin is 4-3 with a 4.35 ERA in 11 starts since returning from a forearm strain right after the All-Star break. That’s not bad, but the one disturbing thing is how many more flyballs he’s giving up; his groundball rate has shrunk from 48% in the first half to 39% in the second, and he’s not missing enough bats to make up for it. Martin will face the Padres next weekend.

Davis Martin pitched well in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday, allowing four runs (two earned) on just two hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Martin struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing three free passes. The Tigers scored three runs in the first inning — two of them on an error by center fielder Brooks Baldwin — then tacked on another in the fourth on a sacrifice fly. Martin got 10 swings and misses on 97 pitches on the day — four of them on his sinker — while posting a CSW of 22 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he carries a 4.03 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 92/44 K/BB ratio (127 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Guardians in Cleveland.

Davis Martin nabbed his sixth victory of the season on Tuesday night, allowing three runs on six hits over his six frames against the Twins.
Martin also issued three walks on the evening while striking out four opposing hitters. The Twins scratched out single runs against him in the first, second and fourth innings, but Martin was able to limit the damage each time. The 28-year-old hurler generated 12 whiffs on 90 pitches on the night — seven on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he brings a 4.06 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and an 89/41 K/BB ratio (122 innings) into Sunday’s battle against the Tigers in Detroit.

Davis Martin was knocked around in a no-decision against the Yankees on Thursday night, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits across his 3 2/3 innings.
Martin struck out five batters on the night while issuing three free passes. He served up a two-run homer to Cody Bellinger in the opening inning and a solo shot to Jazz Chisholm Jr. as part of a two-run second inning. The 28-year-old right-hander got 10 swings and misses on 81 pitches on the night — six of those on his fastball — registering a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he carries a 4.03 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and an 85/38 K/BB ratio (116 innings) into Tuesday’s battle against the Twins in Minneapolis.

Davis Martin pitched well in Saturday night’s victory over the Twins, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of two-run baseball.
Martin scattered five hits on the evening while issuing one base on balls. All of the scoring done against him came via the long ball, with Kody Clemens blasting a solo homer in the second inning and Matt Wallner repeating the feat in the fourth. The White Sox staked him to an early six-run lead in this one and all he had to do was keep the train on the tracks to earn a victory. The 28-year-old got nine whiffs on 93 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.93 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and an 80/35 K/BB ratio (112 1/3 innings) into Thursday’s tough matchup against the Yankees.
