Marlins reassigned INF’s Jacob Berry, Joe Rizzo and Troy Johnston, OF Jake Mangum, LHP’s Dylan Bice, Dax Fulton and Robert Garcia and C Jan Mercado to minor league camp.

Berry was the sixth overall selection in the 2022 MLB Draft and was in camp for the first time with the Marlins. He’s the most notable inclusion among the first batch of spring cuts for Miami. Rizzo and Mangum might have a shot to contribute at some point this season.

Marlins re-signed RHP Dylan Bice to a minor league contract.

Bice was limited to just 24 relief appearances last season due to injuries, finishing with a pedestrian 5.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 33/18 K/BB ratio across 31 innings for Double-A Pensacola. The 25-year-old right-hander will continue to function as organizational relief depth for Miami.
