Eury Pérez threw four hitless innings and struck out five Sunday against the Astros.
Only one batter reached against him, that coming on a walk. The four hard-hit balls he allowed, including two from Yordan Alvarez, all turned into groundouts. After struggling in his first two turns, Pérez has rounded into form nicely this spring, having given up two runs with a 12/3 K/BB ratio over seven innings in his last two starts.

Eury Pérez fanned seven while allowing two runs in three innings Tuesday against the Nationals.
Daylen Lile and Brady House hit back-to-back homers in the second to account for the Nationals’ runs. Pérez was pretty much untouchable otherwise, generating whiffs on 14 of 25 swings and finishing with a 42% CSW. He topped out at 100.6 mph and averaged 99.0 mph with his fastball, which is 1.1 mph better than his 2025 average.

Eury Pérez was lit up for four runs and six hits in 1 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Cardinals.
Perez is throwing hard and missing bats, but the results just haven’t really been there since he returned from Tommy John surgery. He had a 4.25 ERA in his 20 starts for the Marlins last season, and he’s given up five runs in 2 2/3 innings to open the spring. It figures to get better, but the combination of a lot of hard contact and a bunch of flyballs isn’t a good one.

Eury Pérez yielded one run and walked two in his inning against the Cardinals on Monday.
In his spring debut, Pérez threw nine of 19 pitches for strikes before escaping the inning courtesy of some poor baserunning from Cardinals prospect JJ Wetherholt. He also got hit with two pitch clock violations, which was a rather odd thing to see in the year 2026.

Miami Herald’s Isaac Azout reports that the Marlins have initiated contract extension talks with Eury Pérez’s representatives.
Talks began in the spring but “failed to progress beyond the initial stages.” Azout reports that “The Miami Marlins and Eury Pérez were approximately $15 million apart on a potential contract extension,” and talks have stalled for now. The 22-year-old posted a 4.25 ERA over 95 ⅓ innings in 2025 after coming back from Tommy John surgery. While the results were inconsistent, Pérez showcased the same ace upside that he flashed before injury. With fellow starters Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera rumored to be in trade talks, the Marlins would benefit if they could lock one young starter into a longer-term deal.

Eury Pérez allowed three runs with 11 strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Mets on Saturday.
The Mets scored one run on Pérez in the first inning on a walk, wild pitch, and a double. Pete Alonso later took Pérez deep for a solo homer in the third inning. Pérez walked a batter in the sixth and recorded one out before he was replaced at 100 pitches. The inherited runner would come in to score. Pérez collected 11 strikeouts on the day and ends the season with a 4.15 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and a 105/32 K/BB ratio across 95 1/3 innings.

Eury Pérez tossed four scoreless innings and got a no-decision in the Marlins’ 4-2 victory over the Rangers on Sunday.
Pérez gave up two hits, walked one and struck out nine. The 22-year-old right-hander has allowed three runs or less with at least six strikeouts in three consecutive starts. Pérez has a 4.20 ERA and 94/29 K/BB ratio in 90 innings this year. He’s lined up to face the Mets at home in the final weekend of the regular season.

Eury Pérez struck out seven and allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Nationals.
Pérez put together one of his strongest starts of the season in a much-needed rebound performance after being tagged for seven runs over four innings his last time out by the Nationals. The 22-year-old righty will carry a serviceable 4.67 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 79/28 K/BB ratio across 81 innings over 17 starts into a tough road tilt against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Eury Pérez was tagged for seven runs in four innings by the Nationals on Wednesday.
Pérez’s velocity was down a little today, which was kind of surprising given that he had five days’ rest after throwing just two-thirds of an inning last time out against the Mets. He struck out just two and allowed 11 hard-hit balls, with two of those turning into homers. After these last two outings, he seems too risky to play even in a favorable matchup at home against this same Nationals team next week.

Eury Pérez was shelled for five runs on three hits, two walks, and two home runs in just 2/3 of an inning in a loss to the Mets on Friday.
What an unmitigated disaster. Pérez allowed five runs on two mammoth homers from Juan Soto and Brandon Nimmo before recording an out in this one. Manager Clayton McCullough yanked him with two outs in the first right before he would’ve thrown his 40th pitch of the inning. It was the second time in Pérez’s young career that he wasn’t able to get through the first and he’ll look to forget about this disaster before his next scheduled start against the Nationals.
