    Mets signed RHP Francisco Rios to a minor league contract.
    The 24-year-old hurler spent the majority of the 2019 season pitching in the Mexican League, but also toed the slab for the Blue Jays, registering a 6.19 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 10/4 K/BB ratio over 16 innings between Double-A New Hampshire and Triple-A Buffalo. He’ll add minor league depth for the Mets.

    Blue Jays RHP prospect Francisco Rios logged seven shutout innings Tuesday in a win for High-A Dunedin.
    He struck out six while surrendering just two hits in his longest start of the season. Rios began the year at Low-A Lansing but was promoted after going 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA over his first six starts. Opponents have hit just .206 against him this year with 55 strikeouts in 170 at-bats. The 21-year-old has yet to allow a home run in 2016.
