Braves prospects Gerardo Rodriguez, Yoel Campusano and Amadeo Zazueta were all suspended for 50 games Friday after testing positive for amphetamines.
The three were playing first base, second base and shortstop, respectively, for Single-A Myrtle Beach. Rodriguez and Campusano entered the season as fringe prospects, though Campusano was off to a very disappointing start at .192/.293/.300 in 130 at-bats. Rodriguez hit 23 homers for two A-ball teams as a 21-year-old last season, and he was still showing nice power this year, with eight homers in 163 at-bats. However, that came was a ridiculous 65 strikeouts in 163 at-bats, leaving him with a .239/.290/.472 line.
