Mariners re-signed C Jacob Nottingham to a minor league contract.
Nottingham hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2021 and strictly qualifies as emergency catching depth at this stage of his journeyman career. The 30-year-old backstop got into just 16 games for Triple-A Tacoma last year.

Mariners optioned RHP Cody Bolton to Triple-A Tacoma; reassigned INF Michael Arroyo, LHP Jhonathan Díaz, RHP Adonis Medina, RHP Luis F. Castillo, C Jacob Nottingham and C Nick Raposo to minor league camp.
Bolton was the lone player from Seattle’s 40-man roster exiting big-league camp in the latest round of cuts. Arroyo is one of the Mariners’ top prospects and should reach Double-A at some point in the next few months. Díaz and Medina figure to make it to Seattle at some point as emergency stopgap options.

Nationals signed C Jacob Nottingham to a minor league contract.
Nottingham was released last week by the Giants and didn’t take long to find a new opportunity. The 28-year-old journeyman backstop, who hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2021 campaign, is merely emergency organizational catching depth at this stage of his career.

    Giants released C Jacob Nottingham.
Nottingham hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2021 campaign, but shouldn’t have a hard time finding a new opportunity as organizational catching depth. The 28-year-old backstop has hit .232/.339/.432 with six homers and one steal across 143 plate appearances this season at the Triple-A level.

Mariners signed C Jacob Nottingham to a minor league contract.
Nottingham got into 10 contests for the Mariners during the 2021 campaign and didn’t make an appearance in the big leagues last season, batting .229/.333/.425 with 15 homers and 12 steals in 354 plate appearances for Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles’ system. The 27-year-old backstop will ostensibly function as emergency catching depth for Seattle this season.

Orioles signed C Jacob Nottingham to a minor-league contract.
Nottingham ping-ponged between the Mariners and Brewers in the early stages of the 2021 campaign, hitting .150 (6-for-40) across 15 games at the major-league level between the two franchises. The 26-year-old backstop will provide the Orioles with some additional catching depth, and could carve out a temporary role as a place-holder for franchise cornerstone Adley Rutschman, who appears to be on the precipice of ascending to the majors next season.
