Curtis

Curtis drew only two at-bats in his nine-day MLB stay. He was sent out Monday to clear a spot for Matt Adams, who will come off the disabled list before Tuesday’s series-opener against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

He’s taking the injured Matt Adams’ roster spot. Curtis doesn’t have much power or speed, but he batted over .300 in the minors the last two seasons and was off to a .292/.386/.458 start at Memphis this year. He’ll provide depth at second and third base and can also play the corner outfield spots in a pinch.

Curtis appeared in three games with the Cardinals earlier this year and was hitting .259/.368/.351 with four homers and nine stolen bases over 96 games in Triple-A. The 26-year-old will function as bench depth.

Curtis is now off the Cardinals’ 40-man roster -- and probably for good. The 26-year-old outfielder batted just .257/.355/.349 this past summer at Triple-A.

Curtis, 29, put up a .291/.404/.435 batting line with nine homers last season at Triple-A in the Reds organization. He’ll battle for a bench job in spring training.

Curtis was batting just .200/.352/.254 with one home run through 165 plate appearances this season at Triple-A Rochester. The 30-year-old signed a minor league contract with the Twins in January.

For the Cardinals, Curtis hit .253/.386/.289 in Triple-A this past season. He’s appeared in the majors for just five career games and will serve as organizational depth.

Curtis was up in the majors for only a couple of days. He’s nothing more than organizational infield depth.

Curtis, 30, hit .296/.412/.374 with one homer between Double- and Triple-A in the A’s organization last season. He hasn’t appeared in the majors since a cup of coffee in 2013.
