Mets reassigned RHPs Ryan Lambert and Carl Edwards Jr., LHP Joe Jacques, C Kevin Parada, INFs Ryan Clifford, Jackson Cluff, Grae Kessinger and Jacob Reimer and OFs Ji Hwan Bae, A.J. Ewing and Jose Ramos to minor league camp.
Lambert comes as a bit of a surprise, as he had looked sharp during Grapefruit League play. He should get an opportunity to work out of the Mets’ bullpen at some point in 2026. Edwards will continue to work as a starter at Triple-A Syracuse where he adds quality rotation depth that will be needed throughout the season.

Mets signed OF Jose Ramos to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 24-year-old outfielder spent his first seven minor league seasons in the Dodgers’ organization. In 2025, he slashed .251/.326/.456 with 18 homers, 59 RBI, four stolen bases (in 12 attempts) and a 129/39 K/BB ratio across 411 plate appearances between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City. He’ll add outfield depth in the upper minors for the Mets.

Dodgers optioned LHP Matt Gage and INF Andre Lipcius to Triple-A Albuquerque; Re-assigned RHPs Kevin Gowdy and Elieser Hernández, C Dalton Rushing, INFs Trey Sweeney and Austin Gauthier, and OFs Drew Avans, Jose Ramos and Ryan Ward to minor league camp.
The Dodgers are narrowing down their roster sooner than most around the league as they’re opening the season against the Padres in South Korea. There were no huge surprises among this batch of cuts, though Gage could have potentially pushed for a spot in the club’s Opening Day bullpen — especially with Brusdar Graterol and Blake Treinen slowed by minor injuries.

Dodgers OF prospect Jose Ramos went 4-for-4 with a homer on Thursday for Low-A Rancho Cucamonga.
Ramos, 21, has gone deep six times after the homer, and he improves his slash on the season to an outstanding .282/.398/.544 over 103 at-bats. Signed out of Panama back in 2018, Ramos has a chance to hit for both average and power from the right side, and those tools are starting to show up in games. He also has a weapons-grade arm, and gets good jumps in the outfield. Ramos is far too skilled to be in Low-A, but the skill set matches the results. He is yet another Los Angeles prospect that has big-time long-term potential.
