Kyle Freeland allowed six hits and two runs with one walk and seven strikeouts across five innings in a win against the Marlins on Wednesday.

Freeland found success in a home start in part by leaning more into his cutter. It seemed to catch the Marlins off guard in the zone and forced a handful of softly hit outs when they jumped on it. Still, it was a quality primary pitch and set up his knuckle-curve beautifully, which forced seven of his 13 total swings-and-misses. He’s lined up for a two-start week away from Coors Field coming up next against the Dodgers and Giants.

Kyle Freeland surrendered six runs and 11 hits in six innings against the Red Sox on Wednesday.

It probably would have been a little worse, but Carlos Narváez lost a leadoff triple in the sixth when it was ruled that he briefly lost touch with the bag as he popped up from his slide. This is the seventh time in 10 starts that Freeland has allowed at least six runs, though he managed to avoid a loss this time, as the Rockies erased a three-run deficit after he exited and won 8-6. Freeland is 1-7 with a 7.50 ERA, but his rotation status still shouldn’t be in any doubt. He’ll make his next start at home versus the Marlins.

Kyle Freeland allowed four hits and two runs with eight strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter across 7 1/3 innings in a brutal no-decision against the Pirates on Friday.

Freeland had everything working here. He breezed through the first seven innings throwing just 75 pitches and facing two batters over the minimum. Then, consecutive doubles forced him from the game in the eighth and reliever Jaden Hill let his inherited runner score after just one pitch. Nevertheless, Freeland played his fastball, cutter, and knuckle curve off each other beautifully to turn in his best start of the season. Just don’t forget that he still has a 7.36 ERA and that the Rockies are playing 12 of their next 15 games at home in Coors Field. Freeland’s next start is scheduled to come at home against the Red Sox.

Freeland dropped to 1-7 with a 7.98 ERA. He’s given up 84 hits in 58 2/3 innings. Still, it’s not like the Rockies are going to stop running him out there. Expect him to face the Pirates at Coors Field on Friday.

Kyle Freeland allowed three runs in five innings and got a no-decision against the Brewers on Sunday.

Freeland gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out two. He actually left the game with a 3-1 lead after five innings, but the Brewers scored seven runs off the Rockies’ bullpen in the sixth inning. Freeland has a 7.81 ERA and shouldn’t be rostered in most fantasy leagues. He’s lined up to face the Athletics on the road next weekend.

Kyle Freeland yielded six runs — five earned — in 5 2/3 innings Monday in a no-decision against the Angels.

Since the beginning of his rookie season in 2027, Freeland has allowed at least five runs on 58 occasions. That’s tied with the retired Kyle Gibson for second most during the timespan. The top spot belongs to Patrick Corbin with 62 such outings. Freeland wasn’t involved in the decision tonight, but he’s 1-6 with an 8.06 ERA in 10 starts. Still, nothing much figures to change here. Expect him to face the Brewers on Sunday.

Kyle Freeland allowed eight runs with four strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Freeland surrendered a two-run homer to Mookie Betts in the first inning. Enrique Hernández and Andy Pages then went back-to-back with solo homers in the third. The Dodgers broke things open with four more runs in the fourth, knocking Freeland from the game at 81 pitches. The 33-year-old left-hander ends the day with a bloated 8.08 ERA, 1.75 WHIP, and a 39/14 K/BB ratio across 42 1/3 innings. Freeland is currently lined up for a start at home against the Giants on Sunday.

Kyle Freeland struggled on Wednesday against the Rangers, allowing three runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 frames.

Freeland struck out four and walked two in the no-decision. He allowed back-to-back homers to Ezequiel Duran and Jake Burger. The performance actually lowered his ERA to 7.04 for the season. The 2.85 mark he put up over 200 innings back in 2018 feels like an eternity ago. The southpaw will remain an avoid for fantasy managers as his next start lines up at Dodger Stadium.

Freeland surrendered 10 hits with his velocity down about one mph from his season average. It’s the second time in his career that he’s both given up three homers and 10 hits in a contest. He’ll take a 1-4 record and a 6.00 ERA into his next start at home against Colorado.

Freeland notched seven strikeouts and had a nice 31 percent CSW today, but the Braves still hit him plenty hard, with Jonah Heim and Jorge Mateo both taking him deep in the second. Freeland fell to 1-3 with a 5.04 ERA, and he’ll get the Phillies next.
