Mariners placed RHP Logan Evans on the 60-day injured list.
Evans is in the process of recovering from Tommy John surgery that he underwent in January and will miss the entire 2026 season. This was merely done as a procedural move to free up a spot on the team’s 40-man roster for the addition of left-hander Josh Simpson on Monday.

Logan Evans will miss the 2026 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
Evans, 24, pitched respectable in his rookie campaign with a 4.32 ERA over 81 1/3 innings in 16 appearances, 15 of those starts. The right-hander will not be able to return until 2027, and it’s hard to see a role as a starter with Seattle barring significant changes.

Mariners optioned RHP Logan Evans to the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League.
Evans could potentially factor into Seattle’s postseason pitching plans after recording a respectable 4.32 ERA across 81 1/3 innings over 16 appearances (15 starts) this season in the majors. The 24-year-old rookie allowed one run over three innings on Saturday in relief against the Dodgers.

Mariners activated RHP Logan Evans from the 15-day injured list.
Evans has worked exclusively as a starter for the Mariners this season, but it sounds like he’ll function out of the bullpen for the final two games of the regular season. Casey Legumina was optioned out in a corresponding move on Saturday.

Logan Evans (elbow) threw a scoreless inning for Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.
Evans struck out one and walked one while throwing 11 of his 22 pitches for strikes. He has been sidelined with elbow inflammation since August 15th, but said he “felt good” and was able to throw all of his pitches. The Mariners obviously won’t need him in the rotation for the playoffs, but he could operate in bulk relief if he were healthy.

Mariners placed RHP Logan Evans on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.
Evans was pulled after only four innings from Thursday’s loss to the Orioles, and the elbow issue could have played a role in that. No word yet on the severity or how long he’ll be shelved for. Bryce Miller is at the end of his minor league rehab assignment and was expected to take Evans’ spot in the rotation next week anyways, so it’s just their overall rotation depth that takes a hit with this injury.

Logan Evans yielded three runs — two earned — in four innings Thursday in a loss to the Orioles.
Evans struck out only one and walked four, including two in a messy fourth inning in which the Orioles got all of their runs off him. The loss leaves him 6-5 with a 4.37 ERA, which isn’t too bad. However, he’s 4-0 with a 3.32 ERA in his very pitcher friendly home ballpark and 2-5 with a 5.36 ERA elsewhere. He’ll probably head back to Triple-A now with Bryce Miller likely to return next week.

Logan Evans allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings Saturday while being credited with a win over the Rays.
It’s worth noting that two of the runs that Evans allowed came after he left the game, as Junior Caminero hit a three-run homer off Caleb Ferguson following Evans departure. It’s also worth noting that line is pretty deserved, as he did allow those pair of runners to reach and gave up plenty of hard contact. It wasn’t a terrible start, but it’s a reminder that Evans is just holding a spot for Bryce Miller (elbow) until Miller can rejoin the rotation. Evans will make his next start Friday against the Mets in New York.

Logan Evans picked up his fifth victory of the season on Sunday, limiting the Rangers to three runs on five hits over his five innings of work.
Evans struck out three batters on the afternoon and did not allow a base on balls. The big blow against him was a two-run blast off the bat of Corey Seager in the third inning. Evans also allowed a game-tying RBI double to Rowdy Tellez in the fourth. The 24-year-old hurler got 11 whiffs on 80 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 29 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, he’ll tote a 4.30 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 53/23 K/BB ratio (69 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Rays.

Logan Evans allowed six runs with seven strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in a loss against the Athletics on Tuesday.
Evans held the A’s off the board through two innings, then surrendered a three-run shot to Brent Rooker in the third. Two doubles brought a fourth run across before the inning was over. Evans later surrendered two more runs in the fifth, including a solo homer to Shea Langeliers, before he was removed with two outs in the inning. He struck out out seven. The 24-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 4.22 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 50/23 K/BB ratio across 64 innings. He’ll take on the Rangers in Seattle on Sunday.
