Logan O’Hoppe hit a solo homer in a loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.
O’Hoppe swatted his second homer of the season when he took Landon Knack deep in the first. The 26-year-old backstop was awful in 2025, but there’s enough power in his right-handed bat to believe a bounceback campaign in 2026 is feasible.

Logan O’Hoppe had a two-run homer, a walk and a steal Friday in leading the Angels to a 4-3 win over the Reds.
O’Hoppe’s homer was hit 112 mph, and he also had a 104-mph lineout to right. He was one of the league’s worst regulars last year at age 25, but he’s put in the work since and hopefully will be improved both offensively and defensively this year.

Logan O’Hoppe drilled a two-run triple on Tuesday against the Rockies in Cactus League play.
O’Hoppe reached base safely in two of his three plate appearances, including a two-run triple to center field that brought home a pair of runs in the third inning. The 26-year-old backstop mashed 19 round-trippers in just 119 games last season but his batting average collapsed entirely as he continued striking out 30 percent of the time. It’s unlikely he’ll completely overhaul his offensive approach at this stage of his career but there’s easy 25-homer upside here if he manages to avoid the injured list.

Angels signed C Logan O’Hoppe to a one-year, $2.625 million deal to avoid arbitration.
The 25-year-old battled through injuries in 2025 and failed to repeat his solid 2024 season. He did hit 19 home runs in 119 games, but also slashed .213/.258/.371. O’Hoppe seems likely to settle in as a 25 home run bat, so if he can go back to hitting around .240, he would be a real asset as a catcher in fantasy leagues.

Angels activated C Logan O’Hoppe from the 7-day concussion injured list.
O’Hoppe returns to Los Angeles’ lineup prior to Tuesday’s series opener against the Brewers after missing exactly one week with a concussion. The 25-year-old backstop has launched 19 home runs across 109 games this season, but a lackluster .217 batting average has dragged down his fantasy appeal.

Angels’ acting manager Ray Montgomery told reporters on Thursday that Logan O’Hoppe (concussion) is feeling much improved and is expected to return during the team’s series against the Brewers to start next week.
The 25-year-old backstop has been sidelined since September 8 after he was struck by the backswing of Jacob Wilson. Prior to landing on the injured list, he was hitting .217/.260/.386 with 19 homers, 43 RBI, two stolen bases and a 133/21 K/BB ratio over 416 plate appearances.

Angels placed C Logan O’Hoppe on the 7-day concussion injured list.
O’Hoppe will get some additional time off to rest and recover after suffering a freak head injury during Sunday’s game against the Athletics when he was struck by a warmup backswing from rookie Jacob Wilson. It’ll be Travis d’Arnaud and Sebastian Rivero handling the catching duties in his absence.

Logan O’Hoppe is on the bench in favor of Travis d’Arnaud for a second straight game Monday.
Both Angels catchers had brutal months of August, with O’Hoppe’s .363 OPS actually topping d’Arnaud’s .337 mark. O’Hoppe still figures to finish out the year as the Angels’ starting catcher, but he’s been enough of a disappointment offensively and defensively this year that it’s worth questioning whether he should be handed the job in 2026.

Logan O’Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Rangers on Monday.
The big fly was a 407 foot shot that left the bat at 103.9 mph for his 19th home run of the season. It was also only O’Hoppe’s second home run of the second half. The 25-year-old has not had the breakout season that many were hoping for and has gone just 18-for-82 (.219) in 23 games in the second half with two home runs, six RBI, and a 25/5 K/BB ratio. He’s exclusively a two-catcher league option.

Logan O’Hoppe is not in the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox.
O’Hoppe gets a breather for the series finale in Anaheim against the Orioles. Travis d’Arnaud will begin the contest behind the plate and hit sixth while O’Hoppe rests.
