Pete Crow-Armstrong claimed his first Gold Glove in balloting results announced Sunday.
Crow-Armstong (center field), Ian Happ (left field) and Nico Hoerner (second base) made it three Gold Glove winners for the Cubs. Also chosen were Logan Webb (pitcher), Patrick Bailey (catcher), Matt Olson (first base), Ke’Bryan Hayes (third base), Masyn Winn (shortstop), Fernando Tatis Jr. (right field) and Javier Sanoja (utilityman). Those seem like all of the right choices for the most part, though we’re once again seeing there’s just no reason for there to be a utilityman Gold Glove handed out every year.

Matt Olson went 3-for-5 and homered for a fifth straight day in the Braves’ 9-4 win over the Nationals on Wednesday.
Olson’s streak of four games with a homer ended in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader, but five days in a row is still something. Alas, that’s going to come to an end tomorrow, since the Braves have the day off. Olson has 28 homers, 92 RBI and a .281 average nearly 30 points higher than his career mark of .254.

Matt Olson hit a three-run triple in the top of the 10th as Braves beat the Nationals 5-0 in the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.
Drake Baldwin came off the bench and doubled in the go-ahead run before Olson essentially put the game away. It was Olson’s lone hit, so his streak of games with a home run concluded at four. The triple was his second of the season and seventh ever in 1,213 major league games.

Matt Olson went 2-for-5 and homered in a fourth straight game as the Braves defeated the Nationals 6-3 in the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.
Olson has also had multiple hits in each game, going 10-for-18 with three doubles to pair with the four homers. The stretch has raised his OPS from .827 to .862 and given him a shot of reaching 30 homers (three away) and 100 RBI (12 away). He came in at 29 homers and 98 RBI last year, ending a streak of three straight 30-100 seasons.

Matt Olson went 4-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and four RBI in an 11-3 win over the Nationals on Monday.
Olson hit a three-run blast off Mitchell Parker for his 26th homer of 2025. He also doubled in a run in the seventh to extend Atlanta’s lead to 7-1 and extend Olson’s RBI total to 87. The 31-year-old has been solid in 2025 with a .277/.372/.483 slash, and while it’s far from one of his best campaigns, it certainly keeps him relevant in all eligible fantasy formats.

Ranger Suárez allowed 10 hits but only one run with one walk and two strikeouts across five innings in a no-decision against the Braves on Friday.
This was a major shift from the heater that Suárez has been on of late. Coming into this start, he’d struck out 22 batters over his last two starts and allowed just two earned runs. Here, the Braves knocked him around for six hits over the first two innings and it was a minor miracle he didn’t give up more runs. He’ll try to get back on track next time out against the Brewers.

Matt Olson went 3-for-5 on Friday against the Phillies.
The Braves offense couldn’t muster up more than one run despite 12 total hits in this game. As a team, they went 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base in a one-run loss. Of Olson’s three hits, none went for extra-bases or brought anyone home. We’re finally getting towards the end of a season that all Braves fans and players cannot wait to forget.
