Max Muncy launched three homers, including a walkoff blast in the bottom of the ninth, as the Dodgers edged the Rockies 8-7 on Friday.
Glasnow took Kumar Rocker deep twice in the first four innings, but he saved his biggest blow for the ninth, hitting a solo homer with two outs off lefty Jacob Latz. It was Muncy’s second career three-homer game and first with five runs scored, as he also crossed home plate after a single and reaching on a forceout. He entered the night with just one RBI in 11 games, and he still hasn’t plated anyone besides himself, as all of tonight’s homers were solo shots. However, he has scored 11 runs for the 10-3 Dodgers.

Max Muncy went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and a walk in the Dodgers’ 4-1 win over the Guardians on Tuesday.
Muncy drew a walk in the second inning, then took Kolby Allard deep for a solo homer in the sixth, a 410-foot blast at 108.1 mph off the bat. He added a base hit in the eighth and scored a second run, reaching for the third time in the contest. The 35-year-old slugger is a safe bet for power in a potent lineup as long as he can avoid the injured list.

Max Muncy is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks.
Muncy will sit again with southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez getting the nod for the D-backs Saturday evening. Santiago Espinal will draw the start at the hot corner and hit seventh. Alex Freeland is also out of the lineup, with Miguel Rojas hitting ninth and lined up at the keystone.
  • LAD 2nd Baseman #72
Miguel Rojas will start at second base and bat ninth for the Dodgers on Opening Day against the Diamondbacks.
Throughout the spring, the second base position had been framed as a platoon situation between Santiago Espinal and Alex Freeland, so naturally it’s Rojas who gets the start there on Opening Day. It’s likely just manager Dave Roberts respecting and giving the nod to the 37-year-old veteran for Opening Day. Here’s the full lineup against Zac Gallen on Opening Day: Shohei Ohtani (DH), Kyle Tucker (RF), Mookie Betts (SS), Freddie Freeman (1B), Will Smith (C), Max Muncy (3B), Teoscar Hernandez (LF), Andy Pages (CF) and Miguel Rojas (2B).

The 35-year-old slugger has been sizzling as the dish, hitting .333 (7-for-21) with a pair of homers and four RBI in Cactus League play.

Max Muncy went 2-for-3 with a run scored as the Dodgers eked out a 4-3 victory over the Brewers in Cactus League play on Monday.

He then smacked a two-out single in the third inning and scored the Dodgers’ first run on an RBI single off the bat of Dalton Rushing. He’s having a strong spring, hitting .375 (6-for-16) with a homer and two RBI.

Dodgers signed INF Max Muncy to a one-year, $10 million contract extension.
The deal will pay Muncy $7 million for the 2027 season and includes a $10 million club option for the 2028 season with a $3 million buyout. The 35-year-old slugger slashed .243/.376/.470 with 19 homers and 67 RBI in just 100 games for the Dodgers during the 2025 campaign.

The Dodgers have exercised Max Muncy’s $10 million option for 2026.
Muncy let the Dodgers tack this option on to his two-year, $24 million deal even though it’s a cut in pay and didn’t include a buyout. Still, he’s always seemed just happy to be there. The 35-year-old hit .243/.376/.470 in 100 games last season.

Max Muncy went 3-for-4 and clobbered his third home run of the postseason on Saturday as the Dodgers rallied to beat the Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series.
Muncy drew a walk off of Max Scherzer in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth, but the Dodgers were unable to cash him in either time. He then tagged right-hander Trey Yesavage for a 373-foot (102.2 mph EV) solo shot in the eighth inning that pulled the Dodgers to within a run at 4-3. Muncy also singled in the 10th inning to put two men on with one out, but the Dodgers were unable to push a run across. He finished the postseason hitting .214/.353/.411 with three homers and three RBI in 56 at-bats.

Mookie Betts is batting cleanup for Game 7 of the World Series against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will stick with Betts in the cleanup spot for the winner-take-all affair in Toronto after he delivered a two-run single in Game 6 to help Los Angeles keep their season alive. Here’s the full lineup as the Dodgers attempt to repeat as World Series champions: Shohei Ohtani (P/DH), Will Smith (C), Freddie Freeman (1B), Betts (SS), Max Muncy (3B), Teoscar Hernández (RF), Tommy Edman (CF), Enrique Hernández (LF) and Miguel Rojas (2B).
