Nolan Schanuel is not in the Angels’ starting lineup for Saturday evening’s soiree against the Astros.
It appears to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 23-year-old first baseman. Oswald Peraza will start in his place at the cold corner and will bat seventh against AJ Blubaugh and the Astros on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.

Angels activated 1B Nolan Schanuel from the 10-day injured list.
The 23-year-old first baseman had been sidelined since late August due to a left wrist contusion. He returns to a .266/.355/.383 slash line with 10 homers and 49 RBI in 535 plate appearances on the season. Logan Davidson was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move to clear a spot on the Halos’ active roster.

Nolan Schanuel (wrist) will kick off a minor league rehab assignment on Wednesday with Triple-A Salt Lake.
Schanuel should make it back to Los Angeles for the final week of the regular season after getting a couple rehab contests under his belt. The 23-year-old first baseman hit the injured list back in late August with a left wrist contusion.

Nolan Schanuel (wrist) is heading to Arizona to ramp up activity.
Schanuel is hoping he can return from his left wrist contusion during this road trip, but it won’t occur this week against the Twins nor during the four-game series against Seattle. The Angels are nowhere near contention so they could scrap the whole thing as well, but it does appear Schanuel will be back before 2025 comes to a conclusion.

Angels placed 1B Nolan Schanuel on the 10-day injured list with a left wrist contusion.
The positive news here is that Schanuel appears to have underwent additional imaging that didn’t reveal fractures or structural damage since he’s been diagnosed with merely a bruise. The 23-year-old first baseman will get some extra time off to rest and recover. He figures to return after a minimum stint on the injured list.

Nolan Schanuel (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Cubs.
Schanuel is set to undergo further testing this weekend after injuring his left wrist during Saturday’s contest. There should be a definitive update regarding the 23-year-old’s status heading into Monday’s series opener against the Rangers. It’ll be Niko Kavadas at first base on Sunday afternoon in his absence.

Angels’ skipper Ray Montgomery told reporters on Saturday evening that Nolan Schanuel (wrist) will be re-evaluated on Sunday.
Schanuel injured his wrist while making a diving play at first base during the second inning of Saturday’s battle against the Cubs. It sounds like it’s only a minor issue and shouldn’t lead to an extended absence, but be sure to check on his status on Sunday just to be on the safe side.

Nolan Schanuel was removed from Saturday night’s contest against the Cubs due to soreness in his left wrist.
It’s unclear exactly when or how Schanuel sustained the injury, though he did miss a few days at the end of July with a left wrist contusion. Expect that he’ll head for further evaluation so the Halos can determine the severity of the issue. Fantasy managers should be sure to check back before Sunday’s series finale for an update on his status.

Nolan Schanuel went 3-for-4 with a walk in Saturday’s loss to the Athletics.
Schanuel has cooled down a bit in the second half after clubbing eight homers during an impressive first-half performance. The 23-year-old first baseman has been a viable corner infield option for fantasy managers, hitting .267 with 10 homers and five steals in 119 games this season.

Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run against the Tigers on Sunday.
With Casey Mize starting to lose it in the fifth inning, the 23-year-old first baseman crushed a high fastball into the right field seats for his 10th homer of the season. Schanuel has been a steady corner option in deeper formats despite the lack of power. He’s hitting .272 with a .754 OPS and 48 RBI on the year.
