Nolan Schanuel went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a walk Thursday versus the Rangers.

He had only one hard-hit ball, but Schanuel sent everything to the right spots tonight. It’s his second four-hit game as a major leaguer, with the other coming last July against the Mets. He’s hitting an adequate .269/.339/.393 on the season, but he still isn’t showing much in the way of upside.

Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to power the Angels to a 5-1 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Schanuel put the Angels on the board right away, taking Shane Baz deep for a two-run blast in the first inning. He later added a base hit in the fifth. The 24-year-old first baseman has collected two hits in each of his last three games and has homered in two of his last five. He’s batting .266/.332/.399 with six homers, 26 runs scored, and 30 RBI across 259 plate appearances.

Vaughn Grissom is not in the Angels’ starting lineup for Friday evening’s showdown against the Athletics.

The Angels appear to be easing Grissom back into action, as he started two straight games after coming off the injured list on Wednesday. Expect him to be back in there on Saturday. Nolan Schanuel is at first base and batting second for the Halos against opposing left-hander Jeffrey Springs on Friday evening in West Sacramento.

Nolan Schanuel is back at first base for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Still dealing with the calf/ankle issues that had him on the IL earlier this month, Schanuel didn’t start either of the Angels’ previous two games. This is his fourth start in seven games (six versus righties) since he was activated.

Nolan Schanuel (calf) went 0-for-1 as a pinch-hitter during Friday’s game against the Rays.

Schanuel was held out of the lineup for the second consecutive contest as he continues to manage an ongoing ankle issue in addition to a calf issue that cropped up earlier this week. It doesn’t sound like he’s in any danger of requiring a trip to the injured list.

Nolan Schanuel (calf) is out of the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale against the Astros.

Schanuel receives some additional time off to rest and recover after making an early exit from Tuesday’s game with left calf tightness following a hit-by-pitch. The 24-year-old figures to be ready for Friday’s series opener against the Rays. It’ll be veteran Trey Mancini drawing another start at first base in his absence.

Nolan Schanuel was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Astros with left calf tightness.

Schanuel, who has been battling a lingering ankle issue the past couple weeks, was hit by a pitch on the lower left leg before making an early exit from Tuesday’s contest. He’s presumably day-to-day for now.

Nolan Schanuel made an early exit from Tuesday’s game against the Astros after being hit by a pitch.

Schanuel was hit by a pitch from Astros starter Kai-Wei Teng in the opening frame on the same ankle that’s been bothering him for the past couple weeks. He managed to stay in the contest initially, but was lifted a couple frames later. There should be an update on his status following the game.

Nolan Schanuel (ankle) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Astros.

Schanuel got the night off during Monday’s series opener with Trey Mancini returning to the big leagues for the first time since 2023. The 24-year-old first baseman has been playing through ankle tendinitis that he’ll presumably have to manage moving forward.

Nolan Schanuel (ankle) is out of the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Astros.

Trey Mancini takes over at the cold corner in his first big-league appearance since 2023. Schanuel is playing through ankle tendinitis that put him on the injured list back in late May. The expectation is that he’ll be able to manage the situation and avoid a return trip to the injured list, but he’ll probably need some additional time off this week.
