Dodgers optioned RHP Paul Gervase to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Gervase made his Los Angeles debut on Wednesday night, working a pair of frames in relief of starter Shohei Ohtani at Coors Field. The 25-year-old rookie reliever figures to be back at some point in September once rosters expand.

Dodgers recalled RHP Paul Gervase from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Gervase joins Los Angeles’ relief mix for the first time since coming over at last month’s trade deadline from the Rays in a complex three-team deal that involved also involved the Reds. The six-foot-10 righty made five relief appearances earlier this season for Tampa Bay in his first taste of the big leagues.

Dodgers optioned RHP Paul Gervase to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Gervase heads to the minors with veteran southpaw Blake Snell coming off the injured list for Saturday’s game against the Rays. The towering 6-foot-10 rookie reliever was acquired earlier this week from Tampa Bay at the trade deadline.

Reliever Paul Gervase was traded from the Rays to the Dodgers in a four-player deal.
The 6-foot-10 Gervase has allowed three runs, all on solo homers, in 6 1/3 innings of relief work for the Rays this season. He throws just 92-95 mph, but since he’s right on top of hitters when he releases the ball, he had a 39 percent strikeout rate in Triple-A. He was part of the Rays’ active roster before the trade, but the Dodgers will probably stick him in Triple-A for now.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports Hunter Feduccia is being traded from the Dodgers to the Rays for Ben Rortvedt and two prospects.
The Zack Littell trade between the Rays and Reds was announced as a two-team trade, but now it’s more like a three-tearm deal, with Adam Serwinowski, who went from Cincinnati to Tampa Bay, getting spun to the Dodgers along with fellow pitching prospect Paul Gervase and Rortvedt. The return suggests the Rays see Feduccia as a possible catcher of the future, something he was never going to be in L.A. He might remain in Triple-A for now with Nick Fortes just joining the team in a pairing with Matt Thaiss.

Rays recalled RHP Paul Gervase from Triple-A Durham.
Gervase returns to Tampa Bay’s bullpen mix ahead of Wednesday’s showdown against the Yankees. The 25-year-old rookie posted a serviceable 4.26 ERA across 6 1/3 innings (five appearances) earlier this season in his first taste of the big leagues.

Rays optioned RHP Paul Gervase to Triple-A Durham.
Gervase gave up a modest three runs in 6 1/3 innings for the Rays, but that’s a bit of a miracle, considering that he allowed three homers, walked five and surrendered three additional hits. The gap between his 4.26 ERA and his 9.72 FIP is one of the biggest you’ll ever see.

Rays selected the contract of RHP Paul Gervase from Triple-A Durham.
Gervase earns his first call up to the majors after registering a solid 3.78 ERA and 50/10 K/BB ratio across 33 1/3 innings (23 appearances) this season for Triple-A Durham. The unheralded 6-foot-10 right-hander was a 12th-round pick of the Mets in the 2022 MLB Draft and will most likely pitch in middle relief out of Tampa Bay’s bullpen.
  • TB Starting Pitcher
Rays optioned RHP Yoniel Curet and LHPs Joe Rock and Ian Seymour to Triple-A Durham; reassigned INF Brayden Taylor, OF Matthew Etzel and RHP Paul Gervase to minor league camp.
As is often the case with large batches of cuts this early in camp, there were no real surprises among the group. Curet, 22, was terrific between High-A Bowling Green and Double-A Montgomery in 2024, registering a 2.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 159/60 K/BB ratio over 119 innings in his 26 starts. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him start a couple of games for the Rays before the 2025 season concludes.
