Sal Stewart went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in a 11-5 over the Phillies on Wednesday.

Stewart took this game over. First, with a two-run shot in the second inning that tied this game up after the Phillies jumped out to a quick leads. It was an impressive piece of hitting too as Stewart smacked a low-and-away fastball from Alan Rangel for an opposite field homer. Then, he was in the middle of the Reds’ back-to-back-to-back home runs in the fourth . Those two blasts gave him 19 on the season, which broke Frank Robinson’s 70 year old record for the most home runs by a Reds rookie before the All-Star break. That is one heck of an accomplishment for the first time All-Star who looks like a budding star.

Sal Stewart homered and drove in two runs in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

Stewart swatted a solo blast off an otherwise-effective Brandon Sproat for his 16th homer of the campaign. The rookie infielder drove in another run with a double in the sixth off Sproat to score Elly De La Cruz. Stewart ended June with four homers and 22 RBI, and while there have been some ups and downs for him in his first full year in the majors, there have been more than enough ups to suggest good things will continue through 2026 and beyond.

Sal Stewart went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Tuesday, leading the Reds to a 5–3 over the Mets.

Stewart served as Cincinnati’s primary offensive catalyst in this one, socking a tone-setting three-run homer off Mets starter Kodai Senga in the opening frame. It was his 14th long ball of the season and second time leaving the yard in his last seven games. He also delivered a key insurance run with an RBI single in the fifth inning.

Nathaniel Lowe is on the bench for Monday’s series opener against the Mets.

Lowe takes a seat with Spencer Steer at the cold corner and rookie Sal Stewart at DH to face Mets starter Tobias Myers. The 30-year-old first baseman has cooled off recently, hitting .222 (6-for-27) with zero extra-base hits in 12 games since the start of June.

Sal Stewart went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer to lift the Reds to a 5-3 win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Stewart had drawn a pair of walks before the game was extended to extra innings. He came up in a big spot for the Reds at the top of the 11th, taking Yuki Matsui deep for a two-run blast to take the lead. His first home run in 15 games couldn’t have come at a better time. The 22-year-old slugger is up to 13 this season while hitting .254/.351/.464 with 36 runs scored, 42 RBI, and 10 steals across 288 plate appearances.

Sal Stewart went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Friday’s loss to the Cardinals.

Stewart smacked a two-RBI double in the first inning off Cardinals starter Kyle Leahy to put the Reds up 2-0. He would later come around to score on an RBI single by Eugenio Suárez. Stewart is slashing .327/.422/.527 in his last 15 games, but the homers haven’t been there for the 22-year-old slugger. He’s hit just three bombs since May and is still looking for his first long ball in June.

Nathaniel Lowe is out of the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Braves.

No surprise with crafty southpaw Martín Pérez toeing the rubber for Atlanta. Lowe will open this contest on the bench with Sal Stewart getting a turn at DH and Spencer Steer at first base. The 30-year-old veteran has been on a tear with three homers in his five games. He’s gone deep nine times over his last 30 games while hitting .293 (29-for-99) during that span. There are times where Cincinnati will keep him on the bench, mostly against left-handed starters, but Lowe has shown enough over-the-fence pop that he needs to be rostered in deeper fantasy leagues as a viable corner infield option.

Eugenio Suárez is at third base and hitting fifth during the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals in his return to the lineup.

Suárez makes his return to Cincinnati’s lineup after being activated from the injured list prior to Friday’s rainout. The 34-year-old veteran slugger wound up missing nearly one month recovering from a low-grade left oblique strain. His presence will provide a lift for the rest of the Reds lineup as he’ll serve as much-needed protection behind middle-of-the-order threats like Elly De La Cruz and Sal Stewart.
